I ate here 2 or 3 times on recent trips,I enjoyed the appetizers of shrimps and another of calamari frito. both were great but i must say on my last visit they were a bit under-cooked. It must have been a bad night for the chef. The main dishes are large enough for 2 people to share, particularly... read more

Total satisfaction with food, cocktails and service. The food is the real authentic deal. The dishes are superbly prepared without excessive sauce and cheese like most Mexican restaurants. The chile rellenos, enchiladas and speciality dishes are excellent. Three of us shared and all of us were impressed with all choices. They even use organic chicken. The Harbor Blvd. at Victoria... Don't be put off by their location, this place is worth finding. True, slow cooked Mexico CIty flavors in a cute little restaurant. I had the chicken mole which was devine and my husband had the chile relleno which he raved about. I don't usually care for most restaurant margaritas but the pomegranite marg was fantastic! all fresh juices--not overly... More

The little Mexican Cafe hidden in a little strip mall was a great find recommended by a friend. The start with fresh tortilla chips and what seemed like a very nice homemade salsa was great and the tacos at lunch with the pork was exceptional in taste. Beans and rice came as a side with the lunch and met my... More

To get true Mexican food this good, you would have to go to Mexico City! This is a tastefully run restaurant playing very nice Mexican music while you dine. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The Chili Relleno is the best anywhere. Don't miss it!

This restaurant is located in a strip mall in Costa Mesa, but, well worth the visiting. Unlike most Mexican Food Restaurants, their fare is more creative, while retaining the originality of Mexican cuisine---I consider this as more of a 'high end' Mexican Restaurant. Pricing is very reasonable, yet, not a the low end of the price scale--well worth it in... More

I tried this new place and then just had to go back again because the chile relleno was so delicious and I was craving it. Yesterday, I had the chile relleno for lunch once again and it was sooooooo good. And my server was great so I tipped her 40% -- a little higher than usual for me, but very... More

I walked in this place and greeted the staff, they ignored and went about their conversation like I wasn't in the room. They weren't looking to work let alone take my order or anything else for that matter. I walked right out and they didn't seem to care.

Wow. I took my boss here for his birthday and everything was fantastic. We ordered queso fundido as an appetizer and it was served with chips or hot homemade tortillas. The I had the Rib Eye taco's----yummy! We ended up with the best Flan (coconut) I've ever had. This restaurant was a special treat!!

We had dinner here over the weekend. The Pescado Veracruzano was quite good and they happily substituted fabulous black beans instead of rice. The Shrimp Fajitas were VERY tasty too. The whole staff buzzed around smiling, while touching base repeatedly with all the customers. It was a warm, delicious experience. We want to go back soon.
