Breakfast at the counter

Delicious breakfasts! We've had the french toast and 2 eggs over medium with hash browns, toast and bacon. OJ and Coffee too! Casual old-time diner, from the seating to the menu and service. Worth getting up and out for!!

My go to comfort food place, usually to go! When I miss Thanksgiving, and I often do, I always head to Claytons for their turkey dinner. It's always great, it's always hot and it's always served by a very friendly wait staff! Almost every time I head in there I'm asked the same thing, Turkey Dinner in July? My answer... More

While in Coronado recently, we ahd the opportunity to have brakfast at Claytons. We visited this restaurant while in Coronado a couple of years ago. Still a great breakfast restaurant in a classic diner style setting. They even have the table top "juke boxes" in each of the booths. Good food and good service in a fun environment.

I would rather go to Denny's. Everything is burnt, greasy, lacking flavor. Clayton's try cleaning... everything.

We actually had our wedding "rehearsal" there in May 2010. Everyone had a blast and great food! The staff put up with our already happy state and we had fun!

Loved the "malt shop" feel to this restaurant. It's a little tight on room, but the vibe made it all worth it. Old tabletop juke boxes in the booths. I had the veggie scramble and coffee...tasty. Attentive, friendly service. We were definitely not left wanting anything. Nicely done. Definitely would go again.

We first went to Clayton's for breakfast. The portions were enormous and the food was delicious. We found it to be a little more pricey than we usually anticipate for breakfast. The place was adorable...a typical 1950's type restaurant with a counter surrounded by stools, booths along the sides and a mini-jukebox on each table. The décor was typical 50's... More

One of my favorite spots! I often take advantage of the window coffee shop to grab a delicious latte and donut, but they also have a great little diner style restaurant. If you are on coronado Island, stop by for a visit!
