Bes Bread Ever!!!

Flew to San Diego because I had a criminal case hearing. After court, we (my g/f and I) went to Peohe's. We had the calamari for appetizer and it was really good, from a scale of 1 to 10, we gave it a solid "9." We could had given it a 10 but we asked for lime and the lime... read more

I had really high hopes for this restaurant. Arrangements had been made ahead of time for a large table with about 20 people. Upon arrival, we were seated right away and had a fantastic view of the water. The restaurant was nearly empty on a sunny Friday afternoon. Our group ordered from a pre-set menu due to the size. Appetizers... More

We've come to Peohe's many times over the many, many years it has been a staple in Coronado. It has a wonderful ambiance, most all tables have a nice view of the San Diego Bay. You will either see the downtown high rises or the Coronado Bridge depending on which way you face. There is an open outdoor seating area,... More

Ambiance nice. View excellent. Prices were comparable to other steak houses. Service prompt and timely. My Filet Mignon melted in my mouth. Soft music in the background. A wonderful dining experience.

Peohe's is on the Ferry landing side of Coronado Island. We walked by it several times but did not go in because we heard that it was part of the Chart House franchise (just a quirk of ours - not that there is anything wrong with Chart House!). Then some friends told us that they thought Peohe's happy hour was... More

A large group of us went to Peohes for Happy Hour. The setting--by the bay in Coronado--is beautiful. The service was excellent, and the drinks were good. The food, however, is mediocre at best. None of the dishes we tried (shrimp, California roll) were anywhere near what they should have been. The onion rings looked good; if we went back to... More

This was our first stop upon arriving in Coronado and it set the tone for a wonderful visit. We had lunch there and enjoyed every dish we had. Wait staff were great and the prices good. Can't wait to go back.

Walked thru the restaurant from the patio; both empty. Get to the front desk to be told there is a 30 minute wait. Hard to believe when there are only half dozen tables occupied. The food was fair, the service was very slow. I probably would not return, nor would I recommend it for lunch.

One of our last dinners in SD was here. For the money, this was by far one of the worst places we patronized. The restaurant this night was crowded on the back deck by the water where we wanted to be. The rest of the place was very empty, but it was late when we were dining. When we were... More
