First of all, the location across from downtown, is great. The decor and atmosphere is very good. Unfortunately, I like to go to restaurants for good food and service, and this is where I feel Peohe's comes up short of other local offerings. I'm from the east coast and I must be spoiled, because I can get far better food... More

Pehoe's is a fantastic restaurant, location is great with outstanding San Diego skyline. We enjoyed great food, great service, and great views. I will return when returning to San Diego.

Average food, reasonable service, not cheap. There are many choices of places to eat near the Ferry Landing and we chose this one as the views across the water were good. The food was OK - nothing special - and judging by the comments from the nearby tables, most folk were slightly disappointed by the whole experience. But maybe the... More

Wonderful seafood! The atmosphere is also impressive. It is right on the water and overlooks the bay. San Diego is gorgeous at night.

Not sure why there is such a disparity with the 'very good' reviews and our experience which we rated as average and even that's being generous. We ordered the pupu platter consisting of mini poke tacos that was curiously absent of the sesame oil/shoyu/ginger flavoring that I'm accustomed to being of Hawaiian descent, the coconut prawns were overcooked and tough,... Beautiful restaurant inside and out. We went in November so they were not busy, which meant we had excellent and very attentive service. The views of the San Diego skyline are phenomenal! The happy hour, crab stack, and gazpacho soup were big winners, with the entrees coming up a little bit short. I had the osso bucco and it was... More

Great spot for Happy Hour. We had the pork sliders, Ahi Poke tacos and spicy tuna roll. All were excellent. Washed down with $4 Miller Lites. Good view of San Diego and right by the ferry.

Excellent service, fantastic seafood (we had the sea bass and diver scallops), and beautiful setting on the bay. The concierge at the Westin Gaslamp recommended and ensured we had a great experience!

Peohe's for years had a good reputation, but it faltered for awhile -- WELL, IT'S BACK! Sitting over looking San Diego Bay on a gorgeous late summer day is terrific, but when you can factor in good food, excellent service, and reasonable prices for the portions, you have a real winner. Peohe's is back BIG TIME!

We all need an update from time to time, and Peohe's is about 10 years past due its' remodel. Their sagging interior has affected the food, service and strength of their drinks. If, however, you are looking for a room with a view - Peohe's doesn't disappoint. The city will be on full display from your dinner table.
