Fennel flavours

Nice fennel flavoured Bouillabaisse. Good Point Reyes cheese. Beet salad was average. Pleasant ambience and relaxed atmosphere. The waiter gave us an excellent brief history of Coronado as he had lived there all his life, born to a naval family.

The good: The food was so delicious and wonderful. I had the duck and my boyfriend had the rib eye. Although I love duck, his entree won. It was the best rib eye I've ever tasted! Tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The bad: We waited about 30 minutes for our entree. Everybody seemed to be standing around, moving slowly...... More

The restaurant is on a side street from Orange Avenue. A real find. Their peppercorn crusted filet mignon is not to miss at this French cuisine restaurant. The service was great and friendly, which made my experience even more pleasant. Delicious!

Stayed and the Del with our two teenage boys. Ventured out for a meal and found this place right around the corner. The waitress made great suggestions and totally enjoyed our meal. She seated us next to two open windows and the night was grand. Didn't hurt that it was half price wine night (Wednesday). We will be back next... More

Chez Loma is a very quaint restaurant in an older house off Orange Ave about a block from the Dell Coronado so if you are stay there or one of the neaby hotels it is within walking distance. We sat upstairs and it was very quiet. Our waiter seemed new but he was very friendly and got us answer to... More

We love to visit Coronado and eat at Chez Loma. Take advantage of their Wednesday special of 50% off their extensive wine list as well as their early bird special (3 course meal) Monday thru Friday by dining before 6:00pm. Their prix fix menus offer a nice selection which will satisfy any appetite. The French onion soup is good. I... More

Nice small restaurant on Coronado Island. Great food and wine to experience that special anniversary, birthday or just a nice dinner. A nice hidden gem in Coronado.

This small French restaurant is perfect for a dinner when you are searching for a quiet atmosphere, terrific service, and superior wine and food. Sabrina treated us as if we were her favorite regulars and was attentive without hovering. We shared appetizers and salads and even our entrees because we could not decide between the delicious selections. We would recommend... More

Creative menu, reasonably priced wine list, friendly and informed servers in a quaint setting...Chez Loma earns its stripes as the place for a special dinner on Coronado. We ate the fixed menu for Valentine's Day dinner and it was fantastic. Congrats to the chef...the veal tongue Carpaccio was exquisite and extremely creative for a menu in front of the ocean.... Hubby & i enjoyed a nice dinner here at Chez Loma. I had Chilean Seabass which was amazing! Hubby had Filet with Peppercorns or should I say Peppercorns with Filet...too much. Wine List was decent. Will go back again!
