Chez Loma is close to the Hotel Del on Coronado Island. It has been there a long time, and it had been providing very good food, atmosphere and service for a long time. The restaurant is an old house which means dining spaces are small - this keeps the noise way down. It felt a bit like eating in someone's... More

But the dinner was certainly worth waiting for. This is very pleasant café with space between the tables made for a comfortable quiet experience. Since it limited in space (a plus once seated) we did have to wait 30 minutes past our reservation to be seated. The group of four before us just wasn't leaving after they had paid. However... More

Service was fantastic. Waiter provide wine samples before we made our selection. Food was perfect. The setting was great. I would suggest one of the tables up front by the windows.

Plus, I had the advantage of the set menu at $31 (5-6pm), a bargain for Coronado. More than that, the place is enchanting: an old house, plenty of open windows and a lovely breeze, and the best music I ever heard in a restaurant. Mostly French, but some jazz also. I will be back for sure.

We have a number of restaurants in Coronado, but this is the one place we come to most often because the food is by far the best, it is consistent, the ambiance is warm and welcoming. To be honest, we come for lunch on Fridays or Saturdays because the place is often booked solid for dinner, and we just hate... More

We visit Chez Loma each time we come to Coronado and have never been disappointed. I would have to say we normally visit midweek and not at the weekend. Our intention is usually to thoroughly test the menu but we rarely get past the fixed price section. Excellent three courses, a fine selection of reasonably priced wines and after dinner... More

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Chez Loma. Danica provided great service and my wife's French Dip sandwich was the best we've ever had. Would love to come back for dinner if we ever make it back to Coronado.

Went here for my birthday, and the food was amazing, the fish was prepared with all the right ingredients. The server was knowledgeable and on point. This little gem isn't to be missed :)

Tough one to write this because it could be so good. Booked online for a table at 7.30pm. Finally got seated at 8.20pm after being told we could have had a table 'upstairs' at the booked time but instead they just kept us waiting and waiting. To be fair the owner was very apologetic that he hadn't been told of... More

Good evening, I am sorry to here that your experience at the restaurant was not to your satisfaction. We are here to serve and make your evening a special one. I have spoken with the employee in question and have worn her that it is totally inexcusable to have any type of attitude toward any person in the restaurant and... More

A little bistro in a converted house, it was nicely done. The main dining room has an open view of the bar area, which is lower. It makes people watching convenient. Service was good. Food was solid French bistro, I enjoyed it. I recommend.
