I live in Colorado but make a point of dining at Primavera whenever I get to San Diego. I've been here both with friends and family, and also for business dinners. The servers are friendly, warm, attentive and helpful, and they'll give great advice about the menu. The food is always amazing - I tend to go with the scallops,... More

After a lifetime of dining in Coronado, it was wonderful to discover this little gem. Overstuffed banquettes, well dressed maitre d's and waiters, low lighting. Proper service and excellent food were all a welcome surprise. There are not enough better dining outlets in Coronado - I highly recommend it. Although the fried calamari it was a little tough and under-salted... More

I live a distance from this fine restaurant, but I find a way to visit it two or three times a year.Last night my wife and I shared a Caesar's Salad , which was excellent. We then had filet of sole with a side of pasta marinara.Spumoni was our desert. My martini was made very well. The dinner rolls are the best... More

Wonderful meal. The braised short rib ravioli di manza was delicious, as was my wife's pappardelle funghi. Service was perfectly timed so we didn't feel rushed while also attentive. Prices are reasonable without a "Coronado surcharge." The seating area is very nice and can accommodate an intimate dinner for two or a larger party. Overall, it was an excellent experience.

While spending Valentine's weekend on Coronado Island, decided to have a nice Italian dinner. The pictures on-line gave me a mental picture of Romance, Classy and Quality. The reviews made this restaurant a ‘Go-to’ while on Coronado. We were promptly seated, as we had reservations. Started with ordering drinks and the Calamari Fritti. The Calamari is served in a Marinara... More

Looking for a good restaurant after a play...and found it! Service was impeccable, and the food was outstanding. Many great choices; I had the Tortellini Verdi. Cooked to perfection!

Family owned business here in town for over 25 years...well run, beautifully maintained and with a menu which offers a variety of choices it is hard to fault this wonderfully appealing restaurant. The staff is professional and experienced (not a 'you guys' all evening), the food lovingly prepared and well presented is toothsome and memorable. Joey will greet you at... More

Over the past 30 years, we have dined here and I've touted it to the be the best Italian in San Diego, perhaps even So Cal. This visit, I left a bit disappointed. The service was good, we had a lovely quiet, romantic table. The roasted peppers and stuffed mushrooms were great, as always. The gnocchi was flavorful, very good.... More

Great service, interesting menu and wine list. I had one of the best veal piccata dishes since my favorite San Francisco restaurant closed. Highly recommend and surely will go back.
