LOUD on a Sat afternoon during College hoops playoffs but great food

It was very loud inside but there were 2000 tv's with college b-ball playoffs blaring and the associated fans drinking and talking over each other. The burger was VERY good, enough to tune out the noise :-)

Two of my favorite foods to try whenever a restaurant I'm at offers them; Nacho's or a Bleu cheese Burger. Nicky Rottens has the best of both - period! The "stinky burger" is THE Bleu Cheese burger all others should aspire to be! If you like 'em bleu, order it and be prepared. No condiments required - eat it as... More

This was the first place we ate at upon our arrival to Coronado. It's loud, busy and the kind of place that advertises costly burgers/drinks of the day. We had barely settled into enjoying our drink of the day when lunch arrived. We felt rushed because the check was brought even without asking. Not wanting another drink didn't mean to... More

Came here to watch the hockey game. Place was initially packed so they put us at the bar and took our name for a table. As the place eventually cleared out we watched people from the street come in and occupy tables. After it was clear we were forgotten I brought it up with the hostess who quickly seated us... More

Nicky's burger are, the best on the Island - the Giant screen TV's bring the best of the ball games to the dinners - Nick's also offers valet parking for evening diners. Their location on the corner of First & Orange, offers those who sit outside, a view of downtown San Diego, across the harbor from Coronado Island and for... More

Stopped here for dinner and to watch the Final Four on a busy Saturday night during Spring break. Didn't have reservations and only had to wait 20 minutes for a table for four. We were most impressed by the service, as our server went abbove and beyond to help our young picky eater. My wife and I split the Bacavo... More

Service was a little slow but the nacho's were excellent!!! So worth it in the end. They also have ginger beer which we thought was unusual but we had someone in our party who likes it.

We went here for a late lunch on Sunday and it was a pretty good meal. I had the regular burger, with cheddar cheese and bacon. I skipped the lettuce because I don't like shredded lettuce on burgers, only a leaf of lettuce. My husband also had a burger. My burger was cooked to my liking (medium) and still very... More
