Some of the BEST Italian Food

When in Coronado, it's very worth a stop at the 'Vigil' or "V's," as it's called by the locals. They have a nice piano bar and a good happy hour selection of food, wine, and beer. The dining is always delicious and served with style.

We eat here a time or two each year, had a big family birthday here too. Some dishes can be surprisingly good, others ordinary.

We had the salmon and lentils dish and it was very well prepared and delicious (salmon is either really good or it's not. this was really good). Had appetizer of clam and mussel soup and it was terrific. Definitely would go back. There were 5 of us and everyone liked their meal. Service was very good and the decor interesting... More

We went on a Friday night. There was good room for our party of 6. The interior decor and ambiance is wonderful, The quality of the food and service is also marvelous. Everything was great. The parking is the only problem. But that's a problem everywhere in Coronado. The restaurant is expensive. But it's worth every penny.

Had a wonderful server who clued us in on great items to try. We split a yummy salad with fresh pears. Tried one of the eggplant pastas that was very good but very large. Should have split this as well and perhaps tried a second. Would try this restaurant again!

We really like this restaurant and have eaten here several times. It is excellent. They were planning to be closed for a day a couple of days after we ate there to transfer to new owners. I hope they keep the same high quality!

We went here for a company meeting dinner that required two seatings, given our numbers. The food was very good and the service good; the wine flowed amply. I tried a seafood pasta dish and my wife had a salmon dish with vegetables. The former was good, the salmon was impressive given the numbers being served. The vegetables were just... More

Average Italian food. Nothing special but overall OK. The restaurant was a short walk from our Hotel so we thought we would give it a try. The service was efficient and the wait staff very professional.

This was a very classy place! I sat at the bar both times because I was there for just drinks and appetizers. The artichoke is to die for! It is 3 artichoke hearts with parmigiano, garlic and mozzarella. Awesome! The piano music is nice, but not intrusive. The staff is extremely courteous and helpful.
