Great place to have an after-dinner drink and view the San Diego skyline

Stop in here for a margarita and chips and salsa while taking in the sunset. It has some of the best views of San Diego. But don't stay for dinner because the food is definitely not worth the price.

We ate here last week. We both ordered grilled fish tacos. They brought us the wrong order initially. When they brought what we ordered, it was a ridiculously tiny portion. The tortillas were 2 inches in diameter and the piece of fish was half an inch by an inch. About half the size of my thumb. This was described and... More

The view from the outdoor seating area is fabulous. We were walking the boardwalk and stopped in for breakfast. We ordered menudo and eggs Benedict. Both were very good and were served very quickly. The wait staff was very friendly and the view of the Bay was absolutely beautiful. We stopped later in the day for margaritas and guacamole with... More

Candelas is a very nice restaurant by the sea. The location is beautiful, with a fantastic view of San Diego skyline. Food is quite good and they also serve good quality margaritas.

Cute place with views to San Diego downtown. Food not very good. We order ceviche wish was very salty, Sea food tacos with cold tortillas, with more of veggies than seafood. Camarones a la diabla with more cheese than camarones. Service not good.

Very disappointing, it took us a long time to get waited on and there was hardly anyone in the restaurant. The food choices were very average. We decided to order a beer, ate the chips and salsa and left. I doubt if we would return.

Candelas has an incredible view of the San Diego skyline both during the day and at night. It is bay front at the Ferry Landing with an up-scale menu with good wine and beer selections.

A guy's weekend to San Diego. We went to Coronado Island to check out the beach and have a few drinks (we also rented some bikes to get around (highly recommend that since the weather is basically always nice). We sat at the bar around Noon on a Saturday. The place was surprisingly empty, and we talked to the bartender... More

Not only do they have great food and excellent service, the view is one of the best in San Diego. The patio is surrounded by glass, so it blocks the breeze.
