Good for a Hotel Restaurant

The restaurant had a nice view of the bay. The food was fine but the portions were on the small side.

The view and the dining room are very pleasant. The food is not exceptional. I had the NY strip sirloin, manchago mashed potatoes and broccolini. There was no perceptible manchago cheese in the potatoes; the steak was cooked as ordered, but had little flavor. The broccolini was pretty good. This was for $38.00. My husband had the same experience with... More

So, it wasn't just the mussels. Yes, they were the biggest that I have ever had. But bigger doesn't always mean better as most of us know. It's the freshness of the ocean that you want to taste, and these had it. It didn't hurt that they were resting on a bed of squid ink risotto and paired with shrimp... More

We were in San Diego for only two nights and we chose this restaurant for our second night. We were seated at a window table with a beautiful view of the San Diego skyline. We were concerned because the restaurant was mostly empty, but that seemed to be explained by the fact that we were there early and this place... More

Though it was a classic french restaurant for many years, they changes chef's a few years ago and became farm to table. Most, if not all of their ingredients are locally sourced and organic. The food is always very fresh and their great staff always know what to recommend!

Service was attentive, the views from the second floor of the hotel were beautiful and the seafood dishes were very good. It is a shame that the restaurant seemed almost empty. Given that this hotel is way out of the way on the strand - the restaurant patrons would almost exclusively be hotel guests.
