Booked here for our last night in San Diego. My wife is vegetarian and even though they have a somewhat limited menu, they had several potential choices for her and she was looking for a water view. The food was ok...not spectacular. The portions were Nuevo cuisine small. The service was ok...not spectacular. The view was over the top, and... More

Years ago MIstal had a fantastic Happy Hour. We thought we would try it again. It was only one hour, from 5 to 6, and the bartender did not arrive until ten after 5. The $7 well gin and tonics featured flat tonic. The $5 mussels and fries were tasty. BUT there were only 3 mussels. Yes. Three. We ordered... More

My wife and I stayed at the Loews this month for our wedding/honeymoon. We made reservations at Mistral for the night of our wedding (it was just the two of us). Before we even got to Coronado, the staff called us several times to confirm our reservation and ask if we had any special requests. We brought our own champagne... More

Just went to dinner here as a family. The food was very good, and the staff were incredibly friendly and professional. Especially Daniel, our server. He was very accommodating of my food allergies, and exceptionally helpful in his recommendations. He was quick on his feet and provided excellent service. We will be coming back.

We are local to Coronado and when we are looking for a special place to celebrate we come to Mistral (weddings and anniversaries) Our visit last night started out great with the ciopino soup appetizer, but then my miso-infused black cod came out overcooked and way too salty, as soon as I mentioned this to our server, he immediately took... The staff was friendly and made us feel very welcome. The wine selection was good and the menu offered a nice variety. I recommend making a reservation later in the evening and requesting a window table to enjoy both the sunset and the night sky from the vantage point the restaurant offers!

Mistral is a bit pricey but delicious. Eat at the cantina at the pool. Delicious margueritas, nachos and buffalo wings. Try the Blue Moon restaurant down the street for their early bird specials from 4 to 6. The best cucumber mojito I've ever had. We loved it so much we went twice.

Awesome food. Great staff, including the Chef who comes to greet you when he has time. Desserts are fabulous as is the view from the windows. This restaurant is on the second floor which makes the view so great.
