Excellent venue and good food.

We went to an early dinner on Mother's Day - so the menu was limited, but not prix fixe. Our table for 4 had filet mignon, lamb, and salmon. The salmon was perfectly cooked, but served with mashed potatoes rather than the polenta indicated on the menu. The lamb was undercooked. The filets were... read more

Located in Corona Del Mar, this restaurant offers a fantastic menu with outstanding service, in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The prime rib and salmon entrees were absolutely delicious. With a London phone box located near the front entrance, the restaurant atmosphere is very much reminiscent of an upscale pub. Overall, highly recommended for a delightful dining experience!

I came here a couple times as randomly I'm craving a fabulous prime rib dinner and this can't be beat. I'm told it's part of the Lawry's family of restaurants and it's just as good. The sheperds pie is a perfect touch. Au jus, perfectly cooked prime rib with wonderful horseradish sauce. It has never failed. Quite a bit on... More

Everything about the restaurant was old-school. It felt very retro - in a good way. The hostesses were very friendly, and the waitress was terrific. We were pleasantly surprised by the existence of a "dinner for two" menu that was not on the web site - but was a tremendous value. The options we chose were the Mary Alice Pride... More

We enjoyed a wonderful evening at Five Crowns for our staff Christmas party. The appetizers and desserts were delicious and the private room we had was quite charming. They had carolers who were very entertaining. I hope we have our holiday party here again next year!

We are discerning foodies and we found "Five Crowns" to be a delightful splurge. We arrived through "The Side Door" part of the restaurant which was a very ambient pub that looked like it warranted a return trip--very busy on a Friday night. Our reservation was on the other side of the restaurant though, in "Five Crowns" where we sat... More

This is very close to my home so I can walk there. I like the food but it is expensive. The Garden Room is very attractive. The salmon had bones in it the last time I was there. Joan L

Five Crowns is the grande dame of dining in Corona del Mar. For classic roast beef and old style dining, you cannot beat it. Parking is just across the street, which is rare in CDM. A few years ago, they opened a Pub, the Sidedoor with an entrance on Poppy. This was instantly popular with the professional crowd. It serves... More
