Great Food, Great Service

The food is very good and alot of it. The service was also very good, our server came back serveral times to make sure we had everything we needed. The buffet looked great with a variety of food, but I never can eat enough to make it worth it. But did include the salad bar with my meal and that... read more

I rarely eat breakfast but during a motorcycle trip in California I stopped here. $10 buffet? Why not. Turned out to be quite good! Food was freshly cooked (everything was hot and country potatoes were nicely browned w/crispy skins. yum!). Tried eggs, ham, sausage (breakfast links and kielbasa style), bacon, biscuits & gravy, pancakes, french toast and a cinnamon roll.... More

Lack of interest from the waitress around late lunch. Followed by very little cheese on an omelet after 2x same result. Even joked with table next to use because neither of our tables were checked on and we were given the bills without asking if we wanted dessert. If the waitress would appear to want to be there and not... More

It has been quite a while since. Have stopped at an Iron Skillet and I am glad I did.they had an all you can eat buffet for $10.59 and I must admit it was very good. There was quite an eclectic selection.

This Was my first Iron Skillet experience and probably the last. You can get soup and salad, here, but you don’t see that until you’ve already been through the buffet line. At 12:30, most meal selections were lukewarm, with only one or two servings remaining. Our vegetable choices amounted to some overcooked green beans. The salad bar, which is what... More

This is a restaurant in a truck stop so we weren’t sure of the quality of the food. They had a buffet option and I am glad we tried it, everything from the salad bar to the fired chicken was fresh and flavorful. This was not what we were expecting from a truck stop place but we would not hesitate... More

Real good steaks, they are tender, good service, a bit high in prices, but it is worth it. Salad bar is good and tasty. A lot of old Corning Ca history pics. With old time music. I don't like the lighting, it is very bright and annoying and cannot be shut off or unscrewed. So pick a seat without one.

omg. we had never eaten at an iron skillet before. unfortunately, there are only 4 in california and none of them close to home or our regular travel routes. hubby had a denver omelette - loaded with fresh baked ham chunks. he asked for one slice of toast and guess what, megan listened and gave him one slice of toast.... It was late when we got there and the buffet looked pretty good as I walked past it on the way to your table. So I thought, why not? When I got a closer look, the salad bar was missing dark greens; the fried chicken looked dry and there was some dish there without a label that I was afraid... More

What a friendly place to go for a meal! This is a truck stop and management offers truckers a special area to eat but we all can enjoy the buffet or menu items cooked fresh and quite yummy!! Go there often and you and the servers get to know each other - like a small town hang-out!!
