What a friendly place to go for a meal! This is a truck stop and management offers truckers a special area to eat but we all can enjoy the buffet or menu items cooked fresh and quite yummy!! Go there often and you and the servers get to know each other - like a small town hang-out!!

I live in Medford Ore. I eat at the iron skillet there all the time. I've been going to Corning the last couple years. So I also have dinner there. All of their steaks great. I like the chicken fried one the best next the rib eye. They have a great salad bar. staffs checks up every few rounds.

We always stop at the Iron Skillet for lunch or dinner on our trips to Reno. They have the best chicken fried steak. They split it at no charge and the wait staff is always friendly. I am so glad we tried them about 4 years ago while staying next door, it's a great place to eat

Yes, its a restaurant in a truck stop, but don't let that deter you. The food is good, it comes out fast, and the service is very friendly. Maegan (sp?) was our waitress both times and she treated us like she'd known us for years. We ate here twice during my week stay in the area. I had the french... More

Nice restaurant. Good food. I had breakfast for dinner and my wife had the buffet. After driving for ten hours it was a nice sit down meal at a truck stop type of place but I think families would do just fine there as well.

Lots of food because it's a truck stop. Wish I'd have been hungry enough for the buffet, it looked fantastic. I had the open faced chicken sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy on a garlic bread- it was worth way more than they charged,

Iron Skillet is truck-stop-meets-family dining. A lot of truckers stop here on their way to their destinations. The food is good and there are a lot of unique decorative accents to keep your attention. The only downside is having to negotiate through a tiny walkway in the trucker's section to get to the restaurant. It sometimes get congested.

The food was good. It is hard to find a sit down rest. To eat at. We travel a lot with r job and to find a family restaurant is very hard. We drive truck and can't get to the family places easy.

Very good food - not just a truck stop. Menu extensive in addition to buffet. Seating separate for truckers and other clients.

The best thing about this meal was that the salad was cold and crisp. Beyond that, everything was down hill, FAR downhill. The salad bar needed clean-up as there were cross-contaminations from one item to the next. The atmosphere was non existent and the facility wasn't what you would call sparking clean, under our table was a used dinner napkin.... More
