I went for lunch today, at about 1:30, on a truly hot day in Concord. A cold tap German beer, and air-conditioned white table cloth European cafe setting revived me wonderfully, and I enjoyed the best schnitzel I have ever had in America. A friend eats here often, and he recommends the pork roast above all else.

I have been coming here for the past 15 years & it is still as great as ever. Valentine's Day was absolutely no exception!!! The atmosphere is a comfortable casual that is inviting to all and the food is superb!!! We take everyone here to introduce them to this little gem of a place hidden in the crux of an... More

The restaurant ignored us and another couple for 15 minutes while we stood waiting at the front. When we questioned staff in the back about it, we were rudely told to leave the restaurant by the aggressive bartender and the incredibly hostile waitress. All we were expecting was an initial greeting and "we're a bit busy, but we'll be with... More

I have eaten at DJ's Bistro for several years also, and it is always a JOY! Some of the BEST Home Made Comfort European Style Food I have had! My family is from Germany and when I feel a need to have my grandma and moms cooking...I come here and leave with a very full and happy stomach! I have... More

What a refreshing place. A small place with big taste!!! We were meeting family members who lives nearby who recommended DJs. Who can go wrong with a local recommendation!!! DJs had excellent service and the ambiance of a Guesthaus in NorCal. The food was the best I have had since my Germany days. My wife had the small Jagerschnitzel and... More

I have eaten at DJ's for lunch on at least a dozen occasions. I recently went there for dinner. You can't go wrong with the Jaegerschnitzel or the Hungarian Goulash. I was not as pleased with the Sauerbraten I had on this occasion. Their bread is well above average and goes nicely with their beer selections. Their wine selections are... More

The food is excellent, authentic and very reasonably priced. Only reason I did not give 5 stars is because there were no green vegies offered. However, their house salad is nice and fresh.

I have been eating at D J"s Bistro for over seven years. After eating there you will agree with me that it is the best kept secret in the East Bay. I kid you not this is some restaurant. The Rollauden (when they make it) is out of this world good. They serve Southern German / Czech / Polish food... More

we ate a whole pork shoulder there--the eifen weisen--and with the boiled potatoes and spaten, it was delicious! and sexually gratifying.
