We enjoyed an evening at El Jardin for the very first time. It was recommended to us by our motel and we were impressed. The food was delicious and service excellent. We really enjoyed ourselves and it is a perfect location.

What a great way to enjoy lunch or dinner in historic Columbia. They have a wonderful patio with plenty of seating that is shaded and very pleasant. The food is always good and is prepared with fresh ingredients. I really enjoy their chips and salsa, which always includes several deep fried flour tortilla chips.

Mexican cuisine is not my normal choice, although OK for my friend, but with limited options in the town it seemed there was no real choice. However, with a bit of guidance from the staff they were able to modify items to provide something that was suitable for me, as a result I had a most excellent and enjoyable meal.... More

We didn't have much to choose from in the way of restaurants in Columbia, but Mexican sounded good so we went to El Jardin. We eat at a lot of Mexican restaurants so we know a good one from a bad one. The service was excellent -- attentive, friendly staff. The lights above the booths were a bit too bright... More

My family and I eat at El Jardins more than we want to admit. The cooks (Carlos & Honswa) make the food the way we like it. We've made friends with the staff over the years and enjoy the special treatment.

The food was delicious. The portions are generous. The staff was very friendly and quick. The only thing was the presence of a fly, but I guess it flew in when the door opened, otherwise 5 star.

After three days of "authentic" Gold Country meals, atmosphere and prices, our family (2 Adults & 3 small Children) needed a place to relax and recharge. El Jargin was the perfect spot. The staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating & the food was fresh, very well presented and a bargain - especially the "Kid's Meals". The atmosphere... More

Granted, there are not a whole lot of options for food in Columbia. We were hoping for margaritas so headed over to El Jardin after a day spent exploring the countryside and swimming. Unfortunately they do not have a liquor license for hard alcohol, only wine and beer. So cerveza it was. The prices are very reasonable for the gigantic... More

Great service and good food. Reasonable prices. Had 18 in our group and we were all served promptly. We did have to split our group up into 3 tables to accomodate the seating arrangements of restaurant but this was not a problem.

Right beside the historic buildings lies this Mexican Restaurant. Food was tasty. Awesome guacamole. Good Service.
