We have joined friends & family here for many years. The food, atmosphere, service & people are very friendly. We have never been disappointed. We would highly recommend For family & friends any time.

Not a fancy place to eat, but it has a solid menu that's been around for years. The service is excellent. Just a nice place to get a nice Mexican dinner or lunch.

I've been told good things about this location, were locals who took our French guests, but had a poor experience. We waited over 45 minutes for our food, so did others around us. We were not really waited on, and several staff walking around, drinks were not kept filled, when asked for another beer it never came, nor the refill... More

We were overnighting in Clovis in order to drop our son off at camp. Our dining expectations were pretty low. The front desk recommended Bobby Salazar's, a short drive from our hotel. We're from LA so we have access to some pretty good Mexican food. Again we were not expecting a lot here in Clovis. The freshly made guacamole was... More

Sounds weird to order a hamburger in a Mexican restaurant.....but this ranks as my number 2 best burger ever. Juicy, cooked just right and did I mention the fresh guacamole and bacon. The fries were hot and fresh. Went twice during our stay in the area. Dinner was also good. Staff was great. Busy place....handled the crowds very well. Again... More

Even though it was Friday night rodeo and the place was packed, we only waited about 10 minutes. The service was excellent and the food was delicious!

Since the original in 1980...Still and always our favorite! Great service! Excellent food...and we like to try any new mexican restaurant. Short rib burrito and Fancy burrito are always a hit. Try the rico tacos or the shredded beef tacos. MMMMM good! Great margaritas too!

Talked my husband into trying this restaurant instead of the one we normally go to when in Clovis. Service was great with very pleasant staff. Chips and salsa very good. However, the flour tortilla nachos were overcooked with very little flavor and his enchilada/taco combo was average. We won't return.

In truth, there isn't much to choose from when it comes to quality Mexican food in a town where one would expect much better. There are local taquerias that serve better and more consistent quality mexican food that Sal's as it is known. It is foremost a cantina with a large open restaurant on one side. It is pleasant, but... More
