Good Dinner for Party of Eight

Had dinner at LV last night with a party of 8 and enjoyed it very much. I had the spaghetti with sausage and it was very good. The sausage was ground and mixed with the red sauce, which I thought was different, but it was very tasty. My wife had the veal and said it was very tender and tasty.... read more

Small, cozy adult restaurant. However, does have appetizer menu for kids, sodas, and more. $5 early bird food and drinks 4-6 PM; Entree prices around $15/20. Plain pasta $12. Serving size is not huge, but can be considered adequate for a small eater. The bar is right in the eating area ..... no separate dining room, so can be noisy if... More

The food is always good. The basic menu I don't think has changed in years and there are specials. Just a very solid meal you can count on. The young woman who served us was nice, just a little scattered and constantly played with her hair. Was a little slow and did not seem too busy.

This restaurant is nestled away in downtown Clayton. The menu is American/Italian and quite diverse with specials. Appetizers are very good we especially like the steak capparcio. I have tried several different lamb dishes and all good. Halibut pappy-at is also very good. Fresh pastas are wonderful as well. Wine list is not huge but good variety and priced well.... More

There is not many choices in such a small town and I have never had a bad meal here. We had showed up to meet friends without reservations since the place never seemed too busy. We walked in and the place and WOW, it was packed which was nice to see. They said it would take 15 minutes and that's... More

Clayton has only a hand full of restaurants and this one is the Italian eatery. We enjoy the happy hour and that brings us in and we stay for dinner. prices are reasonable and food is good.

We have been in La Veranda few years ago. The food for the price was so-so. The menu could be better, the service was great

It had been a couple of years since I'd last been at La Veranda, but ended up there one night with my husband and was pleasantly surprised/reminded of how nice it is. The service was attentive and friendly and more importantly the food was great. We had a very enjoyable evening out and I was so pleased that my husband... More

I've noticed that some eateries perform well when business is booming while some seem to get a little too laid back when things are slow. This is the second time I've eaten here while visiting family (albeit last time was two years ago...) and there's nothing really negative to say - just nothing really glowing either. They should get credit... More

La Veranda has deteriorated over the years, service is average and food questionable. If you like to gamble and want to takes a "crap shoot" then go ahead and roll those dice. For my money I'll skip La Veranda and go where I can count on a great meal. Bella's is just a couple miles down the road and you... More
