We really enjoyed this restaurant. The food was great, the service excellent. Many standard Italian dishes, with some innovative choices. Two of us had the swordfish special and it was very nice. Everything looked delicious from the menu and even better when it hits the taste buds! I'm usually one to find a few items on a menu that I want to try but this place has so many worthy options. Even dessert and drink options were not to be missed. Come with your appetite.

After five visits, Aruffo's remains a great experience, with good value and notable food and ambiance. Located in charming Claremont Village, Aruffo's is a welcome break from the non-stop Italian chain restaurants in Southern California. The only reason I didn't give them 5-stars is that service can be hit or miss. For starters; their bread is awesome. Over five visits,... More

My husband and I went here on a Friday night. The restaurant is Italian. The restaurant itself isnot real big, but it's very nice and intimate and the food is excellent. We will visit here again.

I popped in for a late lunch/early dinner and was the only customer. My waiter didn't make me feel uncomfortable or that I was a nuisance. I ordered a side Caesar salad and angel hair pasta with roasted peppers and shrimp. The bread is amazing. It's this wonderful round with crisp crust and marinara sauce on top. Divine. I didn't... A few days ago I was in downtown Claremont and decided to try Arruffo's for lunch. I have had dinner there several times and always enjoyed it. I chose their version of a pastrami sandwich and I wasn't disappointed. I had the half sandwich and parmesan french fries. The fries had a goodly amount of freshly grated parmesan on them... More

Saturday Oct 10th the restaurant was very busy when we arrived at 5:30. An hour later there was not a seat to be had, but their staff was very capable, keeping up with everyone and getting the meals out in a timely fashion. Busy as they were, there was never a sense that they were overwhelmed. The food was delicious... More

I can't figure out why this restaurant was not packed on a Saturday night when the town was hopping. We bailed on a long wait at a faux Italian restaurant near our hotel and thank heavens we did! We loved everything about this place. The wine selection was nice, the food was well prepared and the service was very good.... More

We've lived in Claremont a long time and I don't know why we've never tried Aruffo's. When a houseguest recently wanted to take us out to dinner, Aruffo's was our choice and we were not disappointed. My Linguini Alle Vongole was excellent, Hubby's Fettuccini Alfredo (I shared a bite) was delicious, and our friend's Lasagne Al Forno was to die... More

My son and I recently visited Claremont. This is a lovely, quaint college town. One of my favorite places to spend a day. Lots of antique shops. We went to Aruffos for lunch. It has a lovely upscale atmosphere. Visually it was impressive. I had the pumpkin ravioli which is listed as "zucca". It was delicious. The sauce was marscapone... More
