This is not a bakery; this is a cake shop. Bakeries have European pastries and people. Other than that, I don't have a problem with this place.

Some Crust is a long time Claremont establishment. They make a decadent chocolate cookie, a large variety of cupcakes, egg sliders, delicious sandwiches and other items. The biggest problem with this place is that the wait for sliders and sandwiches can take up to 45 minutes during their busy time. The second problem is that it is mostly for takeout... More

Good stuff made with butter. I usually get a moca, extra shots, easy on the chocolate and something from the pastry case. If you don't like sweet stuff in the morning, I highly recommend going early and getting a green chile and Jack Cheese croissant; the only thing they could do to make that better would be to add some... For $12, one cafe au lair, one apple bear claw, one apple cheese danish and one bag of house made doggy biscuits - danishes are big, crispy, delicious mouthfuls - a line to get up to the counter around 9:30am Sunday morning but don't let that deter you...good things come to those who wait!

Some Crust is a Claremont destination for us. We discovered it on a side trip on our drive from LAX airport to Palm Springs several years ago and now we generally always make time to go there (we go to Palm Springs about twice a year). The egg sliders are my favorite thing on the menu but the sandwiches and... More

Great drip coffee by local Claremont roaster Monkey and Son. Peru or Papua new Guinea. Good counter service at the old side, which is the only side I am used too. Great cookies and cupcakes. They do local deliveries too.

This place is INSANE! Yes, the lines can be long. There is a reason. Many reasons: Real scones, cookies, cupcakes, croissants, cakes, breads (Irish Soda Bread!!!). Delicious coffee drinks. Sliders -egg or veg patty option- with every addition known to humans (chipotle sauce anyone?). Things to know: Sliders take a LONG time. Go before you are starving or have a... More

We go for the danish/croissant/pastries but they have cookies, cakes, bread and scones. There is a flavor for everyone - nuts, chocolate, cheese, and fruit. We have been going for years and when we have people from out of town we definitely get a box of danish to go with our coffee or milk. Maybe its because they are always... More

Whether its xmas, St Patty's day, or Easter, you have to get the iced holiday cookies at Some Crust. They are just such a treat that we drive an hour to get a few dozen to eat and share with friends. While you are there you will just want at least one of everything in the showcase. You can never... More

Love the drip coffee here. If you want a good cup of fresh coffee go here. I tend to order the butterball (shortbread cookie) over & over. They do have a variety of pastries. The employees are friendly over all but I was not impressed with the service I received today. Maybe I'm expecting Starbucks service? The other downside is... More
