Very pleasant outside dining in Claremont

Our hotel was right across the street from the Casablanca so we we gave it a try one evening. Sat outside on a beautiful night. Staff was very friendly and helpful--we spent a fair amount of time talking with Walid, who was great. My wife and I both had the trout, which was excellent. Only caveat... read more

The grilled lamb kabobs and chops are fantastic. Just make sure you don't over-indulge on the warm pita bread and garlic dip or humus before your entree arrives as the portions are generous. The owner and his staff are warm & friendly. We have been there for lunch and dinner and the food and service is consistently wonderful . It... More

Casablanca is in a great location in Claremont's Historic Packing House. We sat outside on the patio. We were the first customers of the dinner time period. We were given a corner table at the cusp of smoking and non smoking areas. We were given really ratty chairs, cracked and weathered, mine actually had a quarter size hole in the... More

We originally were trying to go to eureka about 2 doors down but wait was an outrageous 2 1/2 hours , so unsure where to go ( and with a couple picky eaters in the bunch ) we reluctantly decided to try Casablanca , we were greeted promptly and a table for 7 was held for our party while we... More

We used to go to Casablanca alot when we lived in So. Cal. We took friends and family there as well. The food was always consistently good and the choices were varied. We tried everything from the hummus and garlic spread appetizers to the lamp/chicken and beef. Everyone at our table on every trip, raved about the quality and taste... More

The food is over priced and the place is not that great as to service and atmosphere. There are just better places serving the same thing within the same area.

Or you will become violently ill. I was hospitalized for a few hours after projectile vomiting from eating the frog legs here. Someone--please close this place down!

Casablanca is hands-down the worst restaurant in Claremont--I'm surprised that it even has an "A" with sanitation. If you ever do go, just stay away from the frog legs--those are what made me sick. Stay away from Casablanca!

Before going here, I read the reviews and really debated if this is where I wanted to go on one of my few date nights with my wife. I read how the service was not up to par and it was a bit pricey. But let me tell you that my experience was just the opposite. From the moment we... More

Home of The Claremont Colleges, this is a great spot to find a variety of wonderful little restaurants. Some are tucked away into nooks and crannies. They are scattered throughout Claremont Village. I love spice! That's why this restaurant is one of my local favorites. All "Mediterranean Restaurnant's" are not the same. Some over or under season their food. Here,... More
