The atmosphere is decidedly casual, but the service is always top-notch! There always seems to be people hanging around smoking outside their front door, which is kind of weird and uninviting, but hold your breath and walk in anyway! It's lovely inside, and I've been to far more expensive restaurants and haven't had such consistently attentive service and top-quality food.... More

I have been going to the Press on and off for the past 20 years. When I was a teen I went to watch local bands play and to eat vegetarian dishes. My friend and meet there once a year. We just recently visited and I figured I would review it. The food was good. I think they could put... More

This place has some interesting vegan and vegetarian options on the menu. It is a great choice if your party includes folks with highly varied diets. The food is quite good and the atmosphere is very good. Artsy place with writer types always hanging around out front. It is not outrageously expensive like some of the places in town that... More

Vibrant ambiance in this brew-pub and eatery in central Claremont. Good standard dinner fare (I had very good mahi-mahi tacos) and nice beer selection (including local Dale Bros. offerings). Great place to unwind with friends/colleagues!

Typical Claremont bar...fun, relaxing atmosphere, music, and good food. Love coming here for Kings Trivia! This place is one of the more lively ones in DT Claremont.

This is the place the locals and students at the Claremont Colleges love. Always have good specials, like on Wednesday, all bottles of wine are $10! We like their stir fries, pasta with scallops, steak medallions. Martinis, WOW! It's hard to find restaurants that are not chains anymore. Very casual, homey, no fancy stuff just good food, wine, drinks, and... More

We went here on a Sunday night shortly after they opened at 5pm. Decor is simple but it was a bit spiffed up with holiday decorations. We were a party of 6 and had 2 appetizers (mushrooms and cheese sticks) 2 soft drinks, 1 iced tea, 6 entrees, 3 deserts and our total bill was $171 or $28 per person.... More

Hmmmm.....definately a young singles crowd. The food is good and it has been around for years so that says something for the place as it has staying power. Worth a visit but, not a place we would choose to go on a night out. But, we are mid 40's....

Our son at one of the Claremont Colleges recommended this restaurant to us although though he had never been there. Lets just say this place functions more as a bar than restaurant. Putting white tablecloths on the tables doesn't make a restaurant, particularly when a very dark, dirty looking decor is mixed with the smell of stale beer. Their signature... More
