Fast lunch

This is a very small restaurant, ideal for lunch - business man's lunch with the usual fare, nicely prepared and served. Liked the fast service. Didn't like the limited menu.

This is a very nice cozy restaurant in the Village in Clairemont. Service was great, no issues using groupon (which was nice) and the food was really good. Prices are very reasonable, nice small selections of beer on tap (also bottle beer if you want) and wines. Looking forward to returning and enjoying another meal.

The Press is excellent in every way. Service, appetizers, steaks, wine list all near perfection. We sat outside by the fireplace, which is definitely the best table in the house. Only problem was that the hostess had great difficulty ordering us a taxi to return to our hotel. She just wasn't A-type enough to get a cab to arrive in... More

Great food, friendly service. This is just a great little hometown place. I love the fresh ingredients and menu options. Potato tacquitos are simple but awesome.

My children and I and a few friends went to The Press for dinner a couple of weeks ago...on Wednesday (half off bottles of wine), Everything was wonderful....from the cheese plate appetizer to our meals...and, of course, the wine. The servers were attentive and prompt. The atmosphere welcoming. Although we had to leave around 9 pm, they have music most... More

We have gone to the press several times. We have gone for dinner, we have gone several times to see a band play and our favorite and last visit was on a Saturday. We were excited to find they had happy hour on Saturday with a good selection of beer and wine and yummy snacks.

Friends and I thoroughly enjoyed, once again, the food at The Press. It has long been a standby of ours for both quality and great creativity. Never have we been disappointed. Its soups are unusual and delicious. Its salads are gorgeous, ample and delectable. Its entrees never disappoint and its desserts are the tastiest. Its hot rolls and tapenade always... More

This place had a great band on Friday night and was standing room only. Their drink menu was varied and mixed drinks were definitely delightfully different. I had one with Jasmine Liquor, which I didn't know even existed. The food looked appetizing, although we were there only for drinks. The wait staff scurried about carefully weaving in and out of... I ordered a hamburger and it was $12. It came with fresh vegetables and very good fries. The paddy was very small for the price. The service was good. Drinks were $3.50. However, it was very noisy and not for a family. It is really a place for a business lunch and veggies are their best feature. If you want... More

The atmosphere is decidedly casual, but the service is always top-notch! There always seems to be people hanging around smoking outside their front door, which is kind of weird and uninviting, but hold your breath and walk in anyway! It's lovely inside, and I've been to far more expensive restaurants and haven't had such consistently attentive service and top-quality food.... More
