We went there for the first time with 13 other family members. The restaurant is located in old town Chula Vista (3th St.) Nicely decorated! The service was very slow, but in their defense we were there on a Sunday night and we were the second largest group. The food was delicious, from the salads to the main dishes. We... More

Fine dining, beautiful and authentic food! The moscato was delicious as well!! Loved it. We had a reservation for 9pm on a Saturday night and they were pretty empty.

We arrived in Chula Vista and walked the length of 3rd ave looking for a 'restaurant' rather than a cafe. We decided to give Trattoria a go as it looked to be the best choice. Well, it was fabulous. Excellent food, authentic, fabulous waiters, great wine selection. We loved the older Italian man walking around (see other review). It made... More

This is a great restaurant for a good meal in downtown Chula Vista. We've been there several times and always enjoyed the meals. The atmosphere is relaxed and the waitstaff are attentive. Also fun to hear Italian spoken throughout the restaurant by staff. Great food, great service - what more can a diner ask?

Quality restaurant in Chula Vista. Unexpected and more than worth the time. Formerly buon gionorno in Bonita. Food is terrific.

Went for early dinner on a weekday. Great house wine, tasty tea. Delicious olive loaf bread. Our appetizer was burrata, quite tasty. Hubby had gnocchi, which he loved. I had mushroom ravioli, delicious. We had two desserts, tiramisu and a lemon desert, they were equally wonderful. All for a very reasonable price. Will be returning soon.

After traveling to Italy a few years ago I returned with a love of authentic Italian food. After searching around I discovered this gem in my own hometown. Equal to anything in Little Italy but with better prices and the closest to dishes I ate in Italy. Slightly on the high end for Chula Vista but worth every penny. I... More

Our server was awesome. Lady knew her stuff. Older gentleman kept pacing back and forth, the length of the restaurant. Made both myself and my date nervous. Temp outside in high 80's no a/c on to make customers comfortable. Food was good, service was good. Atmosphere sucked. I will not return.
