The food was okay and service was ... tired and not very friendly. The waitress looked like she was worn out and ready to go home, this was at lunch time. The decor looks 50 years old. Parking is behind the building and the entrance is through the bar unless you walk around to the front door. The bar is... More

My family has been eating at the Cock-a-Doodle for over 50 years. Great steaks, ample portions, and the staff are always friendly and courteous. Sure, the décor may be a little tired, but it gives the place character!

I have been eating at this restaurant for FORTY years! You can be assured the food is always the same quality. It's a nice feeling with homestyle food. Love the potatoes that come with breakfast (which is served all day long). Owners are usually always nearby. You won't be disappointed if you want the homemade kind of food, you can't... More

Old, dark & nasty. Dirty too I might add. I'll never go back to this dump. I walked into the place and was met with cigarette smoke and dirty looks.

Like coming home, the staff has a warm greeting and is always glad to see you. Fun people watching the regulars. Good hardworking friendly staff; real good home-style cooking with comfort foods like panckaes and eggs, tasty sandwhiches, steak and chicken and burgers. The happy hour menu is a meal in itself. Always nice to come back.

We decided to try this local restaurant and found it to be just "okay". They breakfast was pretty standard, nothing special. It was very quiet which I liked because we were able to converse with everyone in our party. The waitress was attentive and refreshing the coffee quite frequently. We did notice that there were a lot of regulars. The... More

My family and I frequent this establishment. The food is good as well as affordable. The staff are friendly and competent. Try the bbq ribs, delicious! We like to sit in the bar while we eat but the dining room is also nice. Friday night karoke is a blast!

This family owned little restaurant and bar is an excellent place for breakfast. Although I am not Puertegese, I now want to be, just for the linguica (sausage). I cannot go to the Cock-A-Doodle without some form of lingucia and eggs. Next time I'll see if I can get it on my cereal. Shhh, don't tell anybody, this place is... More

Last times was there the inside looked a bit run down. The food was Ok, heard they hired a certified chef, hoe they are letting him make changed to bring this neighborhood up to speed. Wonder if the mangemt is willing to put the money out to upgrade this place. I was not too impressed with the food but would... More

Loved this place. I had been there some time ago for breakfast & I enjoyed it. Went for dinner with some of my family and loved it. Food was very good, atmosphere friendly and unique. We will be going back!
