The food is outstanding and fresh that's all I need say... Great Place!!! Excellent Italian menu made by real Italians and a wine list to die for!
My husband and I dined at the Sicilian Cafe with friends many years ago when restaurant was only open for dinner. While the Cafe serves dinner every night of the week, they are now open for lunch Tuesday through Sunday. We live less than an hour from Chico and would make the trip just for lunch at the Sicilian. In... More
The Lasagna was bland, and the warm chocolate cake was overlooked. Prices are high, entrees run $17-$30, but most of the food is just adequate. The place was practically empty, but service was really really slow. Not sure why others rate this place so highly. I would not recommend it. You can find much better food, atmosphere, and service at... More
We had the opportunity to revisit the Sicilian Café during a recent visit to Chico. The food and service were both very good. The menu offers broad choices, however, the wine list is limited. Over all...Very Good...worth a visit.
I know, I know. This is a small restaurant, that is family owned and operated, with only like 15 tables. You'd expect it to be a dream come true in Chico. Unfortunately it didn't live up. The quality of ingredients just wasn't there. The presentation was nice, but again, Italian food is about the quality of ingredients. That wasn't there.... More
Had dinner there last night with two friends. The food was very good, we didn't wait long, and the atmosphere was welcoming. I've been there several times over the past few years and have always enjoyed it. My only real complaint was with the price/food quantity ratio. The antipasto was a single small plate, about the size of a saucer,... More
This is a great Italian restaurant. If you rated this place, as a bad place to eat. You probably prefer the olive garden. Or maybe a pasta plate from Chili's.
Great reception on arrival, super staff. Excellent menu, we had the scallops and calamari. Funky outside but super inside.
Had wanted to try The Sicilian Cafe for years and for one reason or another just never got around to it until two weeks ago. What a mistake to wait so long. I have lived in Monterey which is the overall Calamari King of the World. At least it was until I tried the Sicilian Cafe. OMG ---- tender, delicious-... More
Went here for dinner on a Tuesday. We were the first ones in at 5PM, but it filled up quickly. Service was exceptional-attentive without being bothersome, and completely accommodating. I ordered the Lasagna, but wanted some meat sauce to go with it-"no problem". The table next to us had a litany of special requests for all 4 people - gluten... More
