Arrived at 8 p.m. in early spring. Sat outdoors in a covered area overlooking the stream. I ordered homemade butternut ravioli and salad, served with side dishes of risotto and spinach. My dining companion ate chicken piccata and salad. Everything from both meals was delicious. Bread was served warm, with an accompanying mixture of olive oil and balsamic. Also an... More

They have the best Italian food in town, my husband is Boston Italian and this is the best he has had outside Boston in the Chico area. It is very hard to find veal on a menu but they do a fantastic job with it. The only drawback we found was parking is extremely difficult. Once you have been there... More

Sicilian Café is by far the best and most authentic Italian restaurant in Chico/Butte County and probably in all of Northern California. James Taylor puts his heart and soul in every dish that comes out to a customer. Every meal is complete with a delicious salad or cup of soup, an excellent antipasto plate, amazing entrees with a pasta side.... More

This place is a laid kind of sophisticated Italian Restaurant. Gentile and European come to mind. The food is quite excellent and the atmosphere is quite and relaxed. It is the kind of place to spend a romantic evening in or get dressed up and go to the theatre or just spend some time in a jacket talking to people... More

My husband and I dined at the Sicilian Cafe with friends many years ago when restaurant was only open for dinner. While the Cafe serves dinner every night of the week, they are now open for lunch Tuesday through Sunday. We live less than an hour from Chico and would make the trip just for lunch at the Sicilian. In... More

The Lasagna was bland, and the warm chocolate cake was overlooked. Prices are high, entrees run $17-$30, but most of the food is just adequate. The place was practically empty, but service was really really slow. Not sure why others rate this place so highly. I would not recommend it. You can find much better food, atmosphere, and service at... More

We had the opportunity to revisit the Sicilian Café during a recent visit to Chico. The food and service were both very good. The menu offers broad choices, however, the wine list is limited. Over all...Very Good...worth a visit.

I know, I know. This is a small restaurant, that is family owned and operated, with only like 15 tables. You'd expect it to be a dream come true in Chico. Unfortunately it didn't live up. The quality of ingredients just wasn't there. The presentation was nice, but again, Italian food is about the quality of ingredients. That wasn't there.... More

Had dinner there last night with two friends. The food was very good, we didn't wait long, and the atmosphere was welcoming. I've been there several times over the past few years and have always enjoyed it. My only real complaint was with the price/food quantity ratio. The antipasto was a single small plate, about the size of a saucer,... More
