For Chico they do an okay job on BBQ. But -- as a native midwesterner, my standards for BBQ are pretty high, and they just don't quite hit that mark. I tried the pulled pork (which should be a staple for any BBQ spot worthwhile) and it was tender, but lacked that deep smoked flavor it should have, and whatever... More

This is a fun little diner and does not take itself too seriously. Yeah, it looks like my uncles barn dressed up for the county fair with checkered tables and blue collar whimsy, but the food ain't so bad. Good BBQ style food/meats with the usual country sides. The dining room is colourful, open, and nostalgic. Come in a ready-for-anything... More

A cheap source of bar-b-que featuring beef, chicken and pork. The restaurant is picnic table casual but the sandwiches are the main attraction.

I also recently ate at Moe's in Chico and got sick after eating a basket of potato chips. They tasted funny, but i was mixing some flavors - bbq sauce, ribs, beer and chips. After reading about some other visitors getting sick from rancid oil, it donned on me that I got sick from the same spoiled and rancid oil.... More

This visit to Moe's was accented by staff members that were playing grabby tush in the back. We arrived shortly after they opened. The staff was busy doing their "opening duties" and could have cared less that we were waiting for our food. Our homemade potato chips tasted slightly rancid and rotten. The frying oil must have gone bad, yet... More

Always consistently good tasting BBQ here in our little burg of Chico, CA. We love to take friends and out-of-Towner's here for a savory-sauce-drenched Meat-o-Holic's lunch feast... I make my own BBQ and other sauces and the selection of award winning sauces from the owners tastings around the country really make this a stand out performer in the world of... More

The food is always good at Moe's. The Rib Sampler is great to share. I'm not a big coleslaw fan but I like Moe's coleslaw and the cornbread muffins are very tasty. It has a casual, comfortable atmosphere and the service is always helpful and courteous.

What a cool little BBQ joint this is! Right on one of Chico's main streets and looking like a bar from the outside, once you're inside you can feel more of a South Carolina-Tennessee-North-Carolina pork BBQ vibe! The service is happy and courteous and although you order at a counter, the meal is delivered to your table. Beer is served... More
