Franky's has the best and most reasonable happy hour - spaghetti/french bread, salad or scooter prawns or pizza's - all for under $7! We eat dinner here 3 nights a week, great atmosphere, friendly staff and sports TV!

Came here for the first time with my friend and her husband who frequently eat here. We were seated promply. Their table has a coating over it that makes things stick to it like glasses and plates. Weird. The server was averagely pleasant and friendly. Bread with olive oil was yummy! Had a ceasar's salad which was too sour for... More

We dined at Franky’s one evening with most of the family – about 17 people. Getting a reservation for that many folks can be challenging, and of course in a college town where most reviews cite this place as a good place for after-bar-hours pizza, I was a bit suspect before we arrived. I was wrong, plain and simple as... More

We had chicken piccata, baked ziti and chicken basilica. Came with salad of just lettuce or soup. They ran put of the clam chowder so we had red pepper soup - which was really good! The entrees were ok! The chicken dishes were too similar - only difference - capers and artichokes. Good size portions. Warm baked bread with olive... More

Having lived in Chico for eight years I grew accustomed to eating at Franky's in both the day and night hours. However, when I took my husband and a few of my sisters to this place we were all disappointed. Not only was the service terrible and included us being ignored with little to no people in the restaurant; but,... More

Obviously a very popular place. The place was full for lunch on a weekday. Excellent Caesar salads and dressing to die for. ( you can get the dressing to go for later) Also, tried the sausage bread, another winner. The service was excellent and prices were affordable. Easy parking and definitely worth a try.

Tried this place for the first time on a Saturday night in October. Within walking distance of the Chico State campus, but a long walk. There is free parking. We arrived early, around 5:20pm. The bar was pretty full, but the restaurant was not yet. Nice setup with plenty of space between tables, and a great looking open bar area.... More

We never visit Chico without a dinner at Franky's. Especially on Sunday when the calzones are two for the price of one, and that includes a comlete dinner and one (actually, two) of the best calzones available, and I eat lots of calzones. The salads are well above the average bowl of iceberg lettuce, and some pretty good bread comes... More

Don't eat here much, this is big with the collage students on Fri. nights. But when I did the food was pretty good. Loved their soup.

Yummy pasta, great service. Great atmosphere. Try and avoid the student rushes and you'll enjoy it that much more!
