We went for a snack and Margaritas. The décor is very nice. The restaurant is large and has outdoor seating. There were many Margarita flavors to choose from. We didn't order dinner, so can't really review the food.

Tres is a local hangout and is a really nice, upscale Mexican restaurant. There is pleasant outdoor seating and lots of good beer too! Always a downtown favorite!!

This is this place to be if you want to experience Chico and downtown especially on Thursday Night Market. The food is good but a bit overrated and pricey. Some people rave about Tres but I am not a huge fan it is very noisy when crowded you can hardly hold a conversation. So if you want a romantic dinner... More

7/10/14 Initially told there'd be a half hour wait, so we asked about the 3-4 empty tables out front and were seated within a few minutes; it was during the Thursday night Farmer's Market so the festive, lively atmosphere was great while we sipped our wine and people-watched. Mexican food isn't my first choice when dining out but the location... More

The first time I had fish tacos for lunch here several years ago they were outstanding, next time two years ago, not so much. Yesterday tried it again....for the last time. Won't go back. Fish tacos had very little on them, supposedly had mangos and had to count the tiny slivers of mango pieces and shrimp to find any. Small... More

I had heard a lot about this restaurant and was excited to go. The atmosphere was wonderful and outside seating very attractive. Because I don't drink sweetened or carbonated beverages I ordered water. Chico has terrible water. I couldn't drink it. Not to worry, I ordered a margarita and it was excellent! The food was not remarkable. I had a... More

I will preface my ocmments with the fact that we went here on a Saturday evening about 8:30. Atmosphere. Very poor. The college students were out in force and the general atomosphere was about the same as a fraternity party. Lots of kids drinking and talking -- VERY LOUD. Maybe if we had been earlier in the evening it would... More

With its outdoor patio, tres makes for a great lunch spot as well as a lively place to grab a casual dinner before going out.

We went here twice during our trip. The chips and guacamole were fresh and tasty. Drinks were good. We all had fish tacos and enjoyed them, choice of corn or flour tortillas and the two of them you get were plenty. The first night we sat outside and it was mostly a college crowd at 6 pm on a Tuesday... More

I have been to Tres for dinner about 3 times now and after trying different things each time and being sorely disappointed every time, I have decided this place is not worth it unless you're going for drinks and maybe appetizers. Everything I've tried has been really bland, small portions, big price and included extra ingredients that just aren't necessary... More
