My husband and I love to go to Tres Hombres. It is the best Mexican food in Chico. The food, the service, and the atmosphere are always the best. We love the Calamari and the fish tacos.

My boyfriend and I showed up during happy hour. There was room at the bar even though they were so busy. The bar tender was very attentive and constantly made sure our drink orders were taken and our bowls were filled with chips and salsa. I like the atmosphere, and the staff. It's a great place to go out for... More

Mediocre margaritas, so so tacos. We were there for 'after hours' dinner. Walked in a were seated right away, plopped down with some tasty chips and salsa and ordered some guacamole to go with. The deliciousness stopped there. I could've made a better margarita at home, and for that fact, fish tacos as well. Overrun by tomatoes...some strange concoction that... More

Our restaurant experience was not the usual as my friends and I were here on New Years Eve!! We arrived around 8:45pm. We got a table in under one minute from a kind hostess. They were busy, but were staffed to accommodate the New Years Eve crowd. We had a blast ringing in the new year here. Nice environment if... More

My draw here is a good place to meet and chat with friends, or to celebrate an occasion. You can eat endless chips and have margaritas. Happy hour is good. The food is above average.

I like eating here but no reservations so you can count on waiting if you want to eat dinner. More than Mexican food. Nice variety of pub fair. Pretty bar area, nice patio, great waitstaff. Just had lunch here last week, the Margarita was STRONG! Did I mention it's right across the street from the college?

A good not great mexican restaurant with a prime location and newly-added outdoor seating. People rave about the fish tacos...not me. Food is good, not great, service prompt, people friendly. The ability to walk from campus makes it popular with students and crowds are common. Nothing too unique about this place, could be in any town anywhere. A bit pricey,... More

Take my advice, the patio is where it is at. Inside: smells like mold, every time I go. Inside: too loud, every time I go. Outside has neither of these issues. It is only there that I can enjoy myself thoroughly. Great chips as you wait for yummy margaritas. Regular or tropical, order the ceviche, the best appetizer on the... More

Where do I take people that come to Chico from out of town? Tres Hombres. It has a downtown feel. Close to the college and the downtown action you can truly feel the vibe of Chico California.. In the spring and fall sit outside for a lovely experience. It is a fantastic place to have a nice margarita and a... More

This place is legendary in Chico. It is the place where everyone goes to celebrate, where parents go when visiting Chico state. There is a good reason for that The food is excellent. The atmosphere is fun. The wait staff are terrific. And best of all, the prices are reasonable. I was not expecting it to be anything special. I... More
