Ethnic Par Excellence!

The Roost has a wide variety of ethnic meals. Nicely prepared with a very friendly waitstaff. Plenty of parking on site.

There aren't a lot of places you can go and eat alone and not feel weird. I love the Roost because if I don't have it in me to plan who and where to go to breakfast with- I can go to the Roost alone and really enjoy myself. the food is consistently delicious, breakfast favorites, the prices are fair,... The Eggs Benedict are the best in Chico. Also recommend their omelets, biscuits and gravy and corned beef hash. Top quality food. The waitresses are friendly and efficient. Your coffee cup is never empty.

Small, charming restaurant with food to DIE for! Try one of their amazing Benedicts. WORTH THE WAIT!

The corned beef hash in my omelet was top quality, home made. I really enjoy the treat of going out for breakfast and don't do it all that often. Very happy to have tried out this little place while in town. The menu is varied and really does have options for everyone. I tasted the pancakes and they were really... More

Excellent service, real traditional coffee shop atmosphere and quality food. This is an excellent place for breakfast, with an old style counter and tables inside and outside. All the basic menu items and specials as well. An obvious favorite of Chico locals. Can be crowded on weekend mornings but worth the wait.

This is home cookin' with a flair. I've never been to a diner where the eggs Benedict tastes so good. They make their corned-beef hash in house and the omelets are fabulous. The hask brown are cooked perfectly for my taste. I'm not a big fan of the coffee though. Boring. I've ordered a latte before but the staff doesn't... More

but nothing hugely special about the food to me. I found it very meh...I felt like I might as well cook. When I went with my hubby, the tables weren't clean, they were slow in serving and never checked on us. Food was not very flavorful.

It's fun to read through the extensive (quirky) menu. The portions are large, the food is good, and they know how to cook eggs to perfection. We often meet friends here for weekend breakfasts.

I go to the Roost if I am looking for a good breakfast, a lot like old school home made. Not fancy but good.
