How can I not like it.... have been going there since age 8. (a very long time ago) my friend was once a waiter there, and advised me there were other items on the menu that were really good. However, since I only am there three or four times a year, I really need to enjoy the ORIGINAL TOSADA (and... More

LaHacienda is a chico landmark. Been in business for years, makes a great tostada and I would recommend to anyone visiting Chico.

Just ate here. Feel sick and to top it all off it was $73 for 4 people and for something I could of gotten at Taco Bell...the worst mexican foom and service in this town...used to be great...=new management wants to cut costs and provide bad food and charge same prices.

All around food is tasty, but "beef" anything is hamburger. Tamales were mostly dough, little inside. But the portions are large--a"tres" item was food for "tres". Prompt and pleasant service, good margaritas.

We go to Chico every year for vacation and a must on our to-do list is to eat at this restaurant. Their tostada's are amazing, their "special sauce" which is like a thousand island dressing is out of this world and worth going for on any menu item. Thanks to our niece who lived in Chico for introducing this restaurant... More

I tried their fish tacos and it was very good. I'm not sure what's up with the portions, they're huge. And that means taking many boxes of food home. The Chips they bring are ok. The food will be hot, somewhat fresh, and will taste good.

Over the last 40 years I have visited this establishment only 4 times. That may seem strange, but I do live in the UK ! Each time I have visited the restaurant I have been a guest of my Aunt. She has been a customer of the restaurant for over 40 years. A customer of the parents and now their... More

The prices are a little high, but the food is always good, especially the special sauce. The cocktails are ok, just like most places they are to much money and not enough alcohol. Service is good, they always make sure you have chips and salsa.

It's not authenic Mexican food and isn't the place for "cheap" tacos...most of the menu is around $12-&15 plus drinks...it seems to me that if you like the sauce the place is great, but if you're like me and don't think the sauce is all that great...it's just average food.
