We got in late and were looking for a place where the kids would eat without too much fuss. Great diner setting without pretentions, good service, fantastic homemade clam chowder, and large servings of classic diner food (breakfast all day, burgers, fries, chicken fried steak with baked potato, hot sandwiches, etc.) The kids liked it so much we got takeout... As in other reviews, there aren't too many places in Chester, and the Kopper Kettle was close to our hotel. The dinner was actually really good for a burger place, and the service was very friendly and efficient. Be sure to ask about the fish in the tank by the door!

We stayed in the Best Western in Chester and had dinner and breakfast at the Kopper Kettle. Breakfast was excellent, dinner was ok. Would eat there again.

The breakfasts were huge, big biscuits and very good home fries. Also had dinner there one night, the chicken fried steak with real mashed potatoes and cream gravy was very good. The home made mushroom soup was fantastic.

We stopped at the Kopper Kettle Café on our way through town heading to Reno. The service was good and friendly and the food was tasty and filling. I had open faced beef sandwich and my husband had the hot dog meal. Both were good and filling. I will stop again when we are driving through.

This place is an easy walk from the Antlers Motel, and the service and food were excellent. Normal prices--no complaints.

The breakfast here is enough to last you until mid-afternoon. Corned beef hash and the chicken fried steak smothered with sausage gravy are both really good. Service is very good and no-nonsense. Went during Labor Day weekend and the place was busy but did not have to wait long.

We both had the grilled chicken salad which was very plain and the chicken was tough. Would probably have been better to have chosen some of the country cooking recommended in the other reviews. It is a small town so choices are limited.

The Kopper Kettle is a cheerful family-run restaurant with a good basic diner menu and wonderful waitresses. The food is hearty and tasty. The breakfasts are super. Always seems to be busy. Luckily the service is prompt and the kitchen is fast. Look forward to our visit when camping in the area each year.
