There were only four of us. We ordered basic breakfasts and waited an hour for okay-food. Enough said.
This restaurant is very popular with everyone and is in fact the only one open in the evening. The night we ate there their special was chicken-fried steak covered with gravy and served with mashed potatoes and green beans. Nothing was gourmet, but the meal was pleasant, filling, and reasonable. Nice salad served with delicious Texas toast. We ate breakfast... More
You haven't lived until you've eaten their maple bars and cinnamon rolls. I had a very delicious omelet for breakfast and my wife ordered a single pancake which was so big there was no way she could eat the whole thing!
Love the fresh baked cinnamon buns, the hearty breakfasts, the friendly service and hearty meals. Don't miss this place to eat. It is always open, some of the other places in town have limited hours.
Coffee shop with a rustic Modoc county slant. Great pastries homemade by owner every morning. Big servings. Good service. Normal fare.
very good prices for what you get. The food was average plus--a little on the greasy side. The portions are jumbo and everyone was very nice.
We ate here while staying in Cedarville. I had the ravioli after being informed that the pizza wasn't available because the oven wasn't turned on that day. The ravioli was all right, but kind of bland and watery. Service was good and the restaurant is nice, but the food did not knock my hat in the creek.
I love the out back places of this world. You can generally find some of the best food and people in theese places. That has been the case with the "Country Hearth", dowtown Cedarville, California up until June 2, 2013. Generally when you order somthing specific - Say somthing as simple as Dr Pepper to drink, you would expect that... More
Don't get me wrong, this is a nice, attractive place, nice people working there, if not very attentive to the customers ongoing needs during a meal. Their breakfast was fantastic as was their homemade fruit turnovers.(You gotta try one) For dinner, I ordered a pizza which kinda reminds me of something my sister used to make for dinner when we... The place used to be a heap better, but service was and is always slow. Breakfasts are still ok. The pancakes are great. Dinners have gone downhill in quality and as for lunch, it takes to long. The deserts are decent. Avoid Chinese and Mexican nights unless you have very low standards or are starved after a day of hunting.
