Amazingly Good Baked Items

The proprietor of this restaurant is a baking and doughnut frying virtuoso. If you want a really good piece of pie, freshly made cinnamon roll, or what may possibly be the best glazed doughnut anywhere in the world -I kid you not- then be sure and stop by the Country Hearth. Just like anywhere... read more

Perfect small town cafe. Always friendly and the food is simple, generous and homemade. Great baked goods in the morning. I eat here several times a year when traveling thru Cedarville and always bring turnovers home.

I ordered a salad and it was fairly good. The meat and cheese on the top were just taken from a package.

We stopped here, expecting very little, and were pleasantly surprised by a huge, delicious slab of prime rib slathered with au jus and horseradish and accompanied by two generous salads topped with homemade ranch dressing that kinda stopped us in our tracks.

My husband, 6 year old daughter and I went in for an early dinner. First, I understand it's a Diner and that I am in Cedarville. The restaurant was FULL of flies buzzing everywhere. We wanted hamburgers and our daughter wanted pasta. Upon inquiry they didn't offer a child's menu. They had a $16.95 dish of linguine with a sauce.... More

The service was slow, it took my husband asking for menus after a 15 minute wait. Never got the cream that was asked for. It took over an hour to get three omelets. The waitress was short with us and acted put out to do her job. Other customers left due to sitting with no service.

This is run by an older lady and she is a great cook! She even has a bakery for early risers. We ate here and never looked at the other cafes in the small town. I was treated so nice by the waitresses and they have suggestions if you ask. Never had a problem with seating and ate to much,... More

Jan does a great job of keeping this little place going she still makes her own salsa and jams. Bakes all her own breads and rolls. Big portions and not to bad of prices for breakfast as they come with coffee. Just wish she would ditch the classic music it is a bit much in the morning over eggs.

We ate a steak dinner and the next morning a wonderful breakfast. The food was great. The people who own and run the restaurant are very friendly.
