We stopped here for the clam chowder....yummy! Loud and very very beach casual. Great stop for a beer and sandwich!

I had been driving up and down the coast for nearly 50 years without stopping in Cayucos. One night I saw an episode of Huell Howser's California Gold visiting the nearby abalone farm followed by lunch at one of the local restaurants. Cayucos looked charming so we made a point of stopping for lunch on our next trip north. We... More

Duckie's is just in front of the Cayucos' wharf! It offers various kinds of american-style fish and chips. The restaurant is quiste small and the place is easily crowded, but once you have your table, you order and pay at the desk, and then the food is served quicky! Very good price for very enjoyable food! If you pass by... More

Duckies is located a half block from the beach across from the Cayucos pier. It offers takeout as well as casual indoor and outdoor dinning with reason prices. Their menu is mostly sea food but offers some other options. There is some indoor seating along with a a counter and high tables where you have a view of the ocean.... More

Choices are limited in this town so you take what you can get. Service was decent. Fish sandwich was fresh but plain. French fries are the frozen variety. Restaurant is old and a lot of flies. Due to water shortage if you want water you buy a bottle which is good for conservation but the markup is unreasonable... $1.25 for... More

As my title says "very good fish and chips". Not greasy or over breaded. A pleasant place located almost on the beach. Like right across the street. I plan on being back.

Had a great lunch here with family. Be prepared to wait for a table, as the place is small and very popular. (Place your order at the counter while someone else hunts down a table. We actually had to stalk a family that was getting ready to leave.) I enjoyed the fish taco and the onion rings were spectacular. Very... More

We chose Duckie's because of the cute decor--it made the restaurant look promising. This is an order-at-the-counter-type-restaurant with limited service. Unfortunately, the folks that helped us weren't friendly or particularly well-informed about food or options to help us out. Here are some tips: --When they say "chowder" they mean clam chowder though none of their signs say that. When I... More

This place is the perfect spot for lunch. Just in front of the pier of this suggestive town. The offer is more oriented to fish but is also presented the meat. Great soup. Sandwiches or prawns coctail. Low price considering the food quality!
