Description: Located in picturesque Cayucos, California, Schooners has been offering guests an unforgettable dining experience since it opened in 1993. Embracing a nautical theme reminiscent of the early history of the Central Coast sailors and fishermen, Schooners boasts the best ocean views of any restaurant in the area. Gaze into the deep blue while enjoying one of our signature cocktails, or perhaps some of our famous calamari strips. Schooners menu features fresh seafood and steaks, prepared thoughtfully by Chef Beto Gonzalez. Take time to stop in, take a look and say hello; chances are you'll find yourself wanting to indulge in our house specialty Bloody Mary, our fresh seafood, and some lively conversation with our local patrons. Hope to see you soon!

We couldn't stop and dine, so we ordered fish & chips (Halibut was GREAT!) and calamari & chips to go. It was GREAT! Good price for very decent portions of not greasy fried food. Very pleasant and nice staff and the wait time was a breeze. Other menu items sound delicious and we look forward to returning another time! Although... More

Schooner's Wharf adds to Cayucos' great reputation for being one of the most dog-friendly towns in all of California. Dogs or not, when coming here, one will enjoy a great meal with a great view. The place looks like a coastal seafood restaurant should...lots of wood and maritime-themed decorations. There are three dining areas -- one inside, one upper patio,... More

Schooners Wharf could be crowed, especially at noon on a week end, but it is worth a wait for the fantastic meals. Whether it's fish and chips or a hamburger you won't be disappointed by the portions or the fresh air on the deck outside upstairs.

We were recommended to go here as the fish and chips was the best my friend had ever had. Well, she was right. The alaskan cod was extremely fresh and flaky and fried perfectly with great french fries. It was indeed the best fish and chips I have ever had. My husband got the red snapper taco bowl and he... I truly enjoyed my experience here. The service was amazing and attentive. I enjoyed the salmon and the clam chowder. Delicious. Prices are reasonable. It took us 20 minutes until we were seated but you can always order a drink while you wait.

We had dinner in this restaurant and we tasted a locally brewed beer together with the best clam chowder ever (it was the starter). As main course we had a very good calamari steak. Very good restaurant in a beautiful small town on the pacific ocean.

Great service. Waiter very friendly and suggested most popular entries. We were there for lunch. Halibut, bacon, tomato sandwich excellent. Big potions so you can easily share. Bloody Mary's good. Would go there again. This area where you get the good view us s all, so go early as it fills up quickly.

Poor service, we were outside within 30 minutes. In total, we had 4 waitresses. In our opinion a little bit to much. Just one off them was gentle.

Ordered our usual - the calamari - and it was so good and fresh and the portions were generous. This is back up to par. The restaurant was crowded so we grabbed a table in the bar and ate there and visited with other patrons. Lots of fun. The drinks are always good - highly recommend the Bloody Mary's and... More
