We noticed it while driving through the city and dropped in the next night. It's a small place next to a Travelodge and a few burger joints, with around 8 tables. It seemed that on the Tuesday night we went, there was one greeter/server and two chefs, and service was slightly struggling. We had satay chicken, tom Kha soup and... More

My wife and I have decided that Thai Kitchen Restaurant is our favorite after spending the winter in the Desert. The quality of the food is great and the service is friendly. We find all our favorites here with authentic flavors. We have been at least a dozen times and it is our Thai Go-To!

We tried to find two Thai restaurants found on the GPS. We drove to each one of them only to find that they had both gone out of business. Frustrated and hungry we passed Thai kitchen 1 and decided to try it. It was an excellent choice. It is a very good neighborhood restaurant with an "A" rating. Try the... More

We were in town for a week and wanted something other than Mexican food or a burger. We were very pleased with the food at Thai Kitchen #1. The place is very small, but we were there on a Sat. night @ 6:00 pm and were seated right away. We started with Tom Ka Kai soup, which came in a... More

When I want Thai food in the Palm Springs area this is where I go which is nearly weekly. The seasoning is sensational. The noodle dishes outstanding and have never had better coconut soup. I have taken many guest here to impress them with the food and have never been disappointed. The servers have always been gracious and helpful. The... More

Thai Kitchen #1 (as the sign says) is a nice-looking small restaurant co-located with a bunch of fast food restaurants in a shopping center. I could swear this is the same place I visited and liked 15 or 20 years ago in the same spot. Our shrimp soup was excellent. We shared the cashew shrimp entree, very good, and the... More

My wife and I were very pleased to find this small restaurant very close to where we were staying in Palm Springs. We came in shortly after 8 pm. There were no other customers when we arrived. While we dined, two other couples were seated and one person came in to pick up a take out order. I had yellow... More

I've eaten here a couple times and I won't be returning. The problem is they love to sweeten everything. The soup was sickeningly sweet, the eggplant was sweet, everything I ate was sweet. The menu looks great and has many options but.....you get the point.

The to-go food we received at this establishment was not good quality. The veggie stir-fry was overcooked and soaked in oil, the yum nua salad was not fresh and missing the key ingredient (mint), and the curry that we ordered spicy was watery and tasteless (not to mention that the vegetables in the curry were pretty much raw and presented...
