I don't know what is going on with the septic but I have been there twice and each time the good food was made disgusting by a sewer smell throughout the establishment.

If you are a seafood lover Oceans is the BEST seafood restaurant you can find in Cathedral City. In my opinion the is only one other seafood restaurant in all of the Valley that can try to compete. Do not miss the opportunity to try the very best!

Tuesday evening after Memorial Day. Arrived about 7:00, only two or three other diners and we had the place to ourselves by 7:30. Small little place that seats maybe 20 inside and another dozen outside. Nice list of specials including abalone piccata. Two nice glasses of wine and we ordered scallops and the seared ahi, Cajun style. Both were served... More

I have been by Oceans many times, so it was a great surprise when my friends took me to dinner there for my birthday. The restaurant itself is very small but there is outside seating. Due to its size, it can be a bit noisy. I had the sand dabs cooked with capers which were delicious. My friend had the... More

A very small, very noisy restaraunt inside. Eat outside for a great meal. I had the best abalone I have had since being in San Francisco many years ago. I had given up on having ab. My wife had the clams and said they were also great. The other folks had halibut and mussels that they said we also great.... More

Our two weeks in Palm Desert was highlighted by our visit to the Oceans. My cousin introduced it to us and, as i am not normally impressed by restaurants, this one was definitely superior. The food was outstanding service was very well mannered and efficient. (not like some on El Paseo) next time we are the area we will be... More

Best lobster ravioli I've ever had. Attentive service. Place is small but exudes a lot of atmosphere.

We went to the restaurant as a party of 6. The service was attentive and friendly, almost like a family place. Everyone enjoyed their entre's - welll prepared, hot, very fresh and tasty.

We had dinner at Oceans a few nights ago for the third time in the last couple of years and it was even better than we had remembered. The atmosphere is comfortable but refined. Service is impeccable - attentive but not pretentious - and you get the impression that you are in very good hands. The waiters really do know... More

This small restaurant located in a strip mall in Cathedral City was recommended and it is excellent. It is quiet and if not recommended would not know it's there. It has a varied menu but known and has the freshest seafood. The fresh bread with fresh minced garlic and seasonings was different and tasty, ate too much of it. My... More
