A small restaurant that has been in Cathedral City for years and is not fancy. You feel like you are in mexico and the service and food is very good. They do not take credit cards, it is cash only. It is usually crowded with locals.

Friends brought us to El Gallito which is their favorite Mexican restaurant in the Palm Desert-area. We were very pleased that they did. Food was plentiful and the prices very reasonable. Great Value!

Had a delicious lunch, especially special soup (a meal in itself). Don't be fooled by the appearance.

Good food, but I know an Exterminator who has been servicing this establishment....and he tells me this place has a persistent roach infestation problem, since day one. I did not believe him until I saw roach eggs at the bottom of my chips and salsa basket. Message to the owner - your place is in dire need of a remodel!

The food was good, but it wasn't something that you can't really find anywhere else. I recommend the guacamole it was very good. They have some interesting rules that make the experience unique. Be sure to bring cash or use the ATM. The décor of the restaurant needs an overhaul or cleanup. They have a thing for chicken figurines. Not... More

Bring cash because they don't accept credit or checks. Food ok, but they serve plastic utensils. Really not worth the hassle.

Good Mexican for Palm Springs. Have not yet found a place we like better - but will still be looking. Prices were not low, but reasonable. Service is good and very friendly. The little house is a great venue and the location is easy to park at. If you go much later than 6PM, you will have to wait for a... More
