we go there for the tamales

I've only had the tamales there as that is what the locals know it for. Not to say their other items aren't great but they have a great selection of tamales and they are large and quite good.....

We ordered the "El Jefe" burrito which was big enough for two people. Chorizo, potato, egg, peppers and more. Most flavorful breakfast we had one the trip.

We got some pastries and a flan. Disappointed to find that the selection was very limited as to European breads (hoping to get some German breads). The has mostly Mexican food/breads.

They have really, really good breakfast burritos that cost about $2.50 a piece. I've also had their tamales and they were equally as delicious. I've never tried their pastries but I hear that are also quite good.

The best, fresh baked, pastries and Mexican bread. Ask what is just fresh baked, take it to-go and walk down Linden St to the beach and enjoy

Stopped here on the way through from Santa Barbara. Superb! A smallish place that does much more business for breakfast and lunch, we actually had dinner here. Tamales were flavorful, enchiladas were great. But if you are thinking of a nice sit down place, this is not for you. This is a very good, family run business. A few tables... More

Like many of the other family-owned establishments in Carpinteria are still in business after all these years, Reynaldo's Bakery is the 'Grandaddy' of the Mexican restaurant/bakeries in town! A classic 'Panadaria' - with baked goods as well as lunchtime favorites like enchiladas, burritos, sandwiches, etc. Reynaldo's is THE place for customized birthday/special occasion cakes in Carp! (The 'Trois Leches' filled... More

Mexican bakery/coffee shop with all the traditional pastries and cookies plus counter service restaurant for typical Baja-style breakfast and lunch plates. Two fish tacos plate for $5 is best price/value ratio on Linden.

Every Spring Break we camp at Carpinteria State Beach and we visit Reynaldo's at least 3 times while we are in town. Best tamales, carnitas and breakfast burritos! Oh my! Chorizo, egg, potato. The best. Don't hesitate visiting this restaurant. Solid, Mexican food, reasonably priced. Always a highlight of our trip.

This is a must do on your breakfast list while in the area. We always get the Special or Custom Burritos and have not been disappointed however, come there Hungry! It is a Bakery as well and even if your are not buying all the Sweets, it's nice to see & smell all the Fresh Goods. It is a small... More
