Corned Beef Hash

I like to think I'm an expert on Corned Beef hash, but the Worker Bee Cafe has it nailed. Not shredded, but juicy chunks. If you are in a hurry, you are in the wrong town. Nothing in Carp. is hurried, but isn't that the reason why you came in the first place? Get a window seat and watch the... read more

Best corned beef hash I have ever tasted! Whole potatoes, and huge chunks of corned beef!! And apparently they prep it for a couple of days....!

Don't be in a hurry! - This is a popular little cafe, the staff are kind, the food is very good...but it is not rushed, and if it is during a busy time - it will take a little while to get your meal. BE PATIENT! It is worth the wait, but it is a wait. Go with friends or... More

My boyfriend and I ate here for breakfast and were beyond pleased with our experience! The food came fast and was delicious. The staff were friendly and offered great service. Definitely a great spot.

i really want to support this long time carp restaurant with relatively new owners. the owner and his wait staff are all really sweet folks, but they don't seem to know much about customer service. whether the place is full or empty, it always takes too long to place an order and then longer still to get the food. and... Fun little cafe. The food was excellent, and a good value. They have mimosas and fresh squeezed orange juice every day, which is lovely on vacation. Vegetarian friendly, but not particularly vegan friendly.

Not a busy time, after the morning rush, but service was slow & inattentive at best. Liked the gluten free baked options. Not much of a tea or sweetener selection. Fruit bowl side was under ripe, large pieces of orange & melon with the rind still on. During height of citrus season, too??Meh.

Passing by Carpinteria on a sunday morning we stopped by for breakfast. We were lucky enough to find Worker Bee Cafe a small place with fantastic service and even better food. I took two pork chops with eggs and potatoes and a lovely beer from a local brewery.

We went in the January on a Monday morning. It was pretty packed, but the service seemed excessively slow all things considered. The people working there did seem like they were hustling, but all in all... the food did not seem worth the wait. It was decent, but I don't think we will be returning there again.
