Local's fave!

Carpinteria is known for it's great Mexican food, with a 'taqueria' on almost every block - but if you like your chile verde washed down with the best icy 'Cadillac' margarita in town - Delgado's is your place! Off the beaten path on the west side of Carpinteria Avenue, Delgado's front patio is... read more

You can find a decent and filling meal here. There's nothing that's a standout. It's typical Americanized Mexican food. Pretty good margaritas and decent chips and salsa. A decent experience all the way around. A decent place to bring family or a group of friends. Service can be hit of miss. We've had great service and we've had service where... More

Its a very simple, but very friendly place! Food is delicious! Servers are nice. I tried the mango marguerita and fell in love with it! Be careful!!!

Three out of Three times we have eaten at Delgado's we have had issues… and for some reason we have gone back there and tried it again! Our friends also do take out for their entertainment and we have backed away from the food, once we found out that it was Delgado's take out. As a former restaurant owner of... More

As I said in the title....quantity over quality, and over-priced. To start with, I lived in Mexico for six years, so I am admittedly picky. This is mostly Americanized Tex-Mex, not true Mexican food. The margaritas are awful!!! Even their 'Cadillac' is Cuervo and cheap sour mix. It's way over priced for the quality. Vegetarians/vegans beware their rice is made... More

We stopped for a late lunch on a Saturday. We were immediately sitted and chips and salsa bought to the table. I ordered a bloody mary and it was delicious. The chips were warm and not oily. The salsa had no kick so they bought me two others that were spicy but also very tasty. I ordered the albondiga soup... More

I would not call this 100% authentic Mexican food but what I would consider it would be more like Mexican comfort food. Hungover? Get a Menudo! Starving at lunch? Get any of their lunch combos (#6 is my favorite). Need to blow off steam? This is the only place in Carpinteria with Dos Equis Amber on tap!! In all seriousness... More

But the service was slow. Love the decor. Ranchero burrito was delicious and filling. Good prices, too, for a beach town. Went here on the recommendation of a family member and was not disappointed. Would visit again the next time I'm in Carpinteria.

Great value for the price. The Resturant was busy as it was the day afer Thanksgiving but the service was great. The food was very good. We really enjoyed our evening!

We go here quite a bit but sometimes service is awfully slow - particularly weekend days. Sad, as it hurts the experience and the inconsistency makes me hot and cold with the restaurant.
