Great burgers

After a day at the beach or whatever, stop by this place for lunch. It is a cash-only place and is best on a sunny day as the seating is outdoors. There are a few tables inside but outside is the best way to enjoy these burgers and fries, or whatever you're eating off their big menu.

it was OK. Burgers quite small, but tasted fine, the guacamole was fresh, but with unexciting tacos. Service quick. Toilet not very salubrious. Good location to sit and watch the world go by. The other diners were friendly. Dogs allowed. I enjoyed my snack there but I didn't think "wow I must go there again", there wasn't anything special about... More

The Spot is located within walking distance of the state campground. There is outside seating and the menu offers burgers, fish and chips, and sandwiches. The burgers were awesome. The only thing I wish was that they served beer.

Whenever we visit my parents in Carpinteria, a stop at The Spot is a must! Be prepared to wait in a long line during peak hours in the busy season, but it's worth the wait. I never get burgers at fast food restaurants but I always do when I eat at The Spot (the chili cheese dogs are also delicious!)... More

Been grabbing hamburgers at this place for years. It is a must do on the way to the beach or from the beach. It is just one of those kind of places that just feels good. Close to beach and Amtrak station.

A great cheeseburger and shake! Absolutely loved the chocolate chip shake with plenty of chocolate chips and great vanilla flavor. This is called THE SPOT for a good reason. My family was glad we had lunch here one of our days in Carpinteria! It was hot when we were there and outside tables with shade were taken. We had to... More

Love the old style vibe. Really good burgers, wonderful flash back to the days before fast food chains. A beach must in Carp.

A few blocks east of Linden Beach, The Spot is another Carpinteria staple. Great Mexican food, burgers, shakes, etc. In the summer, most guests are in bathing suits, as it is easy walking distance from the beach.

Stopped at the Spot in Carpinteria, during a recent drive to Santa Barbara -- what a great decision. The best chili dog and hamburger we've had in years. Excellent, fresh, diner-style food, with fabulous flavour. French fries were hot and crisp and oh-so good. Staff were courteous and happy to help. Washroom was very, very, small, but clean. Very close... More

We searched for a quick place to eat and this place was quick, budget friendly, and super close to the beach. Not to mention the food quality was amazing. It was definitely 'The Spot!'
