Good place for lunch

We stopped by after spending a couple of hours on the beach. Had a really good lunch. Clam chowder soup and sandwich was good. The French fries were outstanding.

The food here is outrageous. Huge portions, most everything is homemade. They have wonderful cinnamon buns, muffins and biscuits baked each day. Jalapeño scramble is so tasty, especially when served with the beans. However that being said, the owners (or the managers) hover over their staff. The staff seem tense and fearful. Hence the dining experience is tense and not... More

Found this place and was pleasantly surprised. Able to eat outside and enjoy the day and food. Enough food to bring home the doggy bag for a lunch the next day.

Traditional diner. Pancakes are superb, cooked to their original recipe. Lovely service too. Very welcoming.

Good food...great breakfast offerings like Coconut French Toast & Tri-Tip Omelets. My Fish Sandwich would have been better on a bun instead of on grilled bread, due to the Tartar sauce it just fell apart-but the Mahi Mahi was delicious anyway!

The many people at the tables in front of the restaurant lured us into the place. The interior is like time stood still in the fifties. We ordered omlettes. Supposedly they contained vegetables but there wasn't a vegetable we could identify. They were cooked into some goop. The hash browns had the "brown" missing and were a pile of raw... More

The food here was really good. Near the beach. Very old style cafe. Great service. Nothing wrong here.

Short stack pancake combo was very tasty. Not bland like most restaurants. Bacon and eggs were like homemade (maybe better). Outside seating may have slowed the service a tad, but the ambience was worth it. Just down the street from the beach. Will be a repeat customer.

If you want a giant, delicious and old-fashioned breakfast....this is the place! A local favorite for many years, it is the hot spot for the best breakfast in town...friendly, casual, easy...tons of food.. even hot biscuits and lots of local color...definitely worth a visit.

You would really miss out if you just had the standard american breakfast... the pancakes here are really the star... slightly crisp around the edges, and uber light (not sit in your stomach like a rock) consistency of the rest of the pancake.. Not to say that the other food is not good, it is... but ohhhh those pancakes!
