Veggie Munchies before, Pie After

Instead of filling up on bread you get fresh veggies to munch on while awaiting your order. Everything is fresh, as a vegetarian I find many selections, while my friends enjoy chicken and fish entrees. Do not miss the potatoes. And save room for the pie. Look for the periwinkle building.

The place is like going back in time. Prices are so high i won't go back. Long wait on weekend. You do get pie with dinner.

Like dinner at grandma's used to be! Clementine's calls itself a 'steakhouse' - but the fried chicken is insane! (I drizzle it with honey). Everything is included - home-made bread, soup, a 'relish' tray with carrots, celery, and home-made pickles - delicious broasted potato with all the trimmings, classic dinner salad with a choice of home-made dressings. (Locals do a... More

Across the street from the Best Western Plus Hotel, is Clementine's Steak House. My wife and I ordered the complete dinner, which includes started veggies, soup, salad, main course, and pie dessert. My prime rib was very good, including their house baked potato which is deep friend before serving, and my wife salmon. Both were very good. With friendly service,... More

Had read the reviews and looked forward to eating here. Hate to say it but the service was terrible. Iced tea not brought out until dessert, garnish tray came out the same time as the meal (after the salad and bread). Food was overpriced, unappealing, and cooked old-style. Wanted to give a good review but I really can't. Even the... More

Step back in time and savor a family-style home cooked meal. Delicious fried chicken, grilled steak or fish of the day served with a relish tray to begin, salad or soup, vegetable side and a choice of homemade pies and a fun back-to-the-past ambiance. Enjoy. It's the bright purple building on Carpinteria Avenue ... hard to miss.

If you like old style American diner's food, you will get homemade fresh food here, and a lot of food for your money, but to me they do not know really how to cook although they have been doing it the same way for years and are very proud of it. Very nice and welcoming staff, but not my taste.

Very warm and inviting place to dine. We had the fresh Salmon, baked (crispy skin) potato, fresh carrots. You get soup, salad, entree, and pie for dessert. Peach pie was a little crusty and not enough fruit, still good though. They have been open 33 years.
