Returned to Sly's for a birthday celebration and, as usual, the food was excellent. I had a chicken with figs dish that was super. The brussel sprouts were a little on the hard side and were, therefore, disappointing. But didn't detract from an otherwise wonderful evening.

Sly's has become a Carpinteria landmark since it opened it's doors five years ago - and with good reason! Their extensive menu has something for everyone - their signature steaks are cooked to perfection, and their seafood selections are fresh & delightfully prepared. They have the only 'full bar' in town - (with an award-winning team of 'mixologists' and a... More

In the afternoon, my wife and I want to stop, and relax a bit. We went to Sly's and order 2 glasses of Hitching Post Pinot, onion soup, and the crab and shrimp louis salad. Sitting near the large open window area, we relaxed and watched all the happenings on Linden Avenue. It was a good experience.

First off let me start by saying I used to Love Sly's. It was my go to restaurant when friends or family came out of town or for special occasions. Last night I went for my Boyfriends Birthday and wanted a very special night. We had two very nice appetizers and ordered steak for our main course. I ordered my... More

Maybe it's the luck of the Irish, but each time we've dined at Sly's we've ended at one of the tables at the front of the restaurant that open to the sidewalk--it makes for a wonderful sea breeze type of experience (it can be cold, too, if the marine layer comes in). Sunsets are ideal. The menu is diverse and... More

Went to Sly's with two other couples. The restaurant has an amazing selection of cocktails and wine and quite a variety of different foods to choose from. The food is really amazing and the wait staff was very helpful and attentive. The atmosphere left a little to be desired though as we were out to have a little fun on... More

Warm inviting atmosphere. Friendly accommodating staff who are not trying to push the specials or the extras that you don't want. The menu is rich in diversity as it has classic continental dishes mixed with good American home cooking and a few specialty dishes. Their wine list is very good although I wish that they had some domestic wines from... More

My wife and I, although residing in nearby Santa Barbara, had never made it to Sly's. Reminded me of a friendly supper club in our other area of residence, Wisconsin, except its in a beach town and the food is much better. Reminiscent of Wisconsin by how friendly it is. Very lively bar, open air feeling. Nice, eclectic menu. The... More

The grilled artichokes and fresh local caught abalone were amazing. Service is quick and the place is packed on a Saturday night.
