From the fresh crispy finger potatoes to the heavy steak doused in sauce that will make your mouth water to the final touch, Ice Cream Sunday. Everything was cooked to perfection. Simple yet rich tasting food. The restaurant has beautiful photographs of old Formula 1 races all around. Nothing fancy but still a nice place to go if you want... More

i went here for dinner with my family on a recommendation, but left extremely disappointed. We all ordered the fillet. Meat quality was fine, but the steak I ordered "Walding Cracked Black Pepper" was ruined by overpowering and excessive seasoning. In fairness the waiter did forewarn me, but even as a pepper lover it was just too much for me.... More

The style, location and above all the cuisine are superb. We saw the owner last time, a real character with a warm smile. Consistently great.

Invited to lunch by good friends, so any pain was ameliorated. No parking---lively bar that looks like a singles joint---fairly pleasant dining room in the back Excellent service by a single waiter. Excessively long and complex menu with too many a la carte items. Food good, but not outstanding. Bread was not just warm, it was burnt. I had an... More

Quality place. Ambiance is CA beachy, food is great - not cheap - but worth it. Valet parking. The only warning - all sides come separately - this can up the final cost of a meal.

Have been visiting this excellent restaurant since it opened about six years ago. The chef and owner Sly with his charming wife, make this place out of the ordinary while in Carpinteria, this quiet little beach town. The quality of food is outstanding, and the service has always been very professional. It is pricey, yes, but you get what you... More

We had the seafood sampler app that had lobster, crab, shrimp and scallops. It was fantastic! The atmosphere is clean and fun with good service. Great bread. Entrees were delicious, baby back ribs and NY steak. Cheesecake was average...

where else can you find a great traditional- french- food- trained owner and chef who is also so adept at american comfort food and when possible can even combine the two and make it into a memorable dish? where else can you find such consistency in food? if you ate something there 2 years ago, loved it, and ordered it... Tonight we had a beautiful meal in Sly's in Carpinteria. The sea bass was excellent. The staff were very friendly, the restaurant and restrooms were very clean and I loved my warm peach cobbler desert. It reminded me of my late mother's delicious apple sponge! We were lucky to get a table as the restaurant which had lovely white linen... More
