We have been to Skip's several times. We have only ever had excellent food and excellent service. I would advise a menu choice but everything is good so just get what sounds good to you.

I have heard many rave reviews regarding Skip's Kitchen and was not disappointed. The burgers are incredible, as are the garlic criss-cut fries. I've also tried their pastrami sandwich and steak sandwich and both are incredible. The place has a cool vibe and Skip and his staff are great and right on top of things. I highly recommend anyone to... More

Delicious burgers! Cooked and served the way burgers should be. Pesto chipotle sauce on chicken sandwich is yummy. Sweet potato fries are perfect. Friendly atmosphere for all.

The food is great..fresh and flavorful. The bacon cheese burger and olive oil sweet potato fries are wonderful!! The owner makes his way around the tables to say hello and check in to make sure everything is satisfactory. Great place for family!

Have driven past this place many times. Finally tried it today. It was very busy (1:30), had to wait for a table. But worth the wait. I had a grilled cheese sandwich - excellent - had tomatoes and fresh basil. My husband had the turkey sand with a side salad. Dressing was great. I used some to dip my sweet... More

Great food! Great owner! I had put off going to Skip's Kitchen until about a year after it had opened. My wife kept hearing great reviews from the locals so I finally caved one night, when we couldn't decide on anything else to eat, and went. Not a ton of parking so we had to park next door in a... ...twice my hamburger was raw and inedible on the inside. I like a rare burger, but there is a difference between rare and raw. Onion rings are great, though.

Good food, The burgers are good and the salads also(I love the "heap"). The place can be very busy so bring your patience, but worth the wait.

Great neighborhood spot. Ordered the meatball sandwich and Asian salad: both excellent and even better quality than I expected. My friends have really talked this place up, and even so I was surprised by the quality and value. Definitely going back!

I love a good pastrami sandwich. I also love small family owned restaurants. But Skips does something very interesting. They serve incredible food with the feel of a bay area eatery at Sacramento prices. In other words GO THERE SOON. Everything is homemade, everything is good and the smiles on the faces of both the employees and the patrons tells... More
