Skip runs a great eatery -- the food is top-notch, staff is friendly and efficient and Skip is no stranger to his own establishment. He makes everyone feel welcome and part of the "family" when they arrive. LOTS of repeat customers (including myself).

We've been here several times and each time has been great. Some different twist on typical lunch fare. Very friendly owner and staff.

Place is excellent for a nice meal! Great food, and good prices. If you pull a joker out of the deck your meal is free. The buffalo chicken ravioli is amazing! Skip the owner is always there and wants to make sure you enjoy yourself.

Skip's is always good. Lucky day if Skip gets to bring you your food. He's a happy guy. Great beers on tap! Can be crowded and you need to wait for table but all food is good. Kids love the real milkshakes. Maybe you'll pick the Joker and get your entire meal FREE!

Skip's Kitchen on El Camino Avenue east of Mission Avenue is our "go-to" place when we want consistently excellent food with great service in a cozy diner where we're bound to run into someone we know. Skip is almost always there and remembers us every time we come in. I hear him asking other diners about their families, sports, etc.... More

nice menu selection. Staff is friendly, Skip is there most nights and greets all his customers. Chef Greg and his team go out of their way to make sure our dining needs are met every time we are there!

Very good food. Top quality meat in hamburgers and sandwiches. Attentive servers. Prompt service, always with a smile. Salads delicious, too. Choice of regular cross-cut potato, or sweet potato shoestring fries, which are never greasy. Best hamburgers in town! Nothing fancy. Come as you are. Reasonably priced. Portions ample. Another plus, if you pick the joker out of the deck... More

The three cheese hamburger is wonderful. The steak sandwich is good too. I ask for the burgers medium well because Skip's version of medium is a little on the rare side. I did the online ordering on my iPad today, worked like a charm. It can be a long wait, Skip is busy every day.

I admit that I have to have a certain number of burgers per week or I might fade away... I checked out Skip's the first time because it was listed on the Sacramento top 5 list of burger places. Wow, they got there because they deserve to be there! They offer burgers, but they offer the "traditional" items with some... More

Enjoy eating at Skips Kitchen. The food is always great and the employees are friendly and helpful. Especially like the mushroom and Swiss burger.
