I love this quaint place! I am always greeted by someone and there are always locals there too, which can be their downfall when they carryon with them and forget about other customers, just saying. Their food is always top notch but I have only been for lunch. The parking can be a bear as the lot is so small,... More

The customer service is great for such a small restaurant. Good Steak Sandwich & excellent Sweet Potato Fries! I can't wait to try their Fried Shrimp and Garlic Parmesan Fries.

Everything at Skips is tasty from hamburgers to salads. The quality and quantity of food is tremendous and we try new things all the time. They are all delicious. Skip is usually there to greet us and lets customers try a game for a free meal each time an order is placed. We go there at least three times a... More

We were able to sneak into a parking space up front and right up to the counter to order, so we were unsure that all the hype was accurate. There were only 2 tables available and within 5 minutes the line went out the door. (I am guessing it was sheer luck!) The pastrami sandwich was great (definitely not low... More

While the food is very good here the prices are really high. For dinner for 3 people who each had a burger, fries and drink, it was over $40. The food is plentiful and fresh and very good. The restaurant isn't a big place but it's nice and very clean. The employees are all very nice and helpful. So, other... More

We went with friends who grew up in the Garden of the Gods and went to El Camino High back in the day. Skip's was in their old stomping grounds. It is a cozy place with good food. The sweet potato fries are great. It is a nice Carmichael addition. It is located in the former El Palmar Restaurant that... More

We eat at Skip's about once every 6 weeks. We enjoy it, and the food is consistently good. Skip is generally there to greet us, which always makes a great impression on us and our grandkids. He is so personable and genuine. My favorite is the pastrami sandwich and the sweet potato fries. It is a perfect neighborhood gem.

Skip's in Carmichael serves a seasonal Butternut Squash Soup that I love! I am allergic to dairy and this soup is rich and creamy with no milk products and is delicious. Normally it is served with a swash of sour cream on top, but I ask that they leave it off. It is topped with a crouton and caramelized apple... More
