First off, you have to understand that the owner (also the guy who serves you) has this thing about him that will put many people off (picture Fawlty Towers). It didn`t take long for us to get behind that and found that he was an absolutely great person. The food (had bagel and avocado and the best oatmeal I`ve ever... More

Have been treated rudely here on several occasions. Wait times for basic pastry or coffee drinks completely inappropriate and unacceptable. The place seems filthy and in need of deep cleaning. Exorbitant amount of flies on the expose foods. Restaurant not run properly, food not stored properly. I am not sure what's going on with this place. Will not return.

Every time I eat here the coffee is good and the pastries are yummy especially the almond Croissants. What is lacking is friendliness of the gentleman who works here. I think he may be the owner?? He has never been friendly and sometimes seems very rude. It is too bad because first thing in the morning we all could use... More

My wife and I stopped ehre by suggestion of a friend. Great little spot with sumptuous offerings. Mine was a smooth and buttery quiche Lorraine and hers a robust Focaccia topped with roasted veggies. Very reasonable pricing. Located at the west end of Carmel Village on the north side of the road in small center. Located approximately 12 miles /... More

Our first experience for lunch was most delightful. We enjoyed the fresh juices, lunch and bakery goods. The woman taking our order was very helpful and friendly. When we returned the following day for breakfast, our experience was completely different. The male owner was rude, and several customers waiting in line left the cafe. We still enjoyed breakfast, but had... More

Really good coffee, they make their own baked goods, great atmosphere, healthy tasty food, excellent breakfast. This place is sometimes very busy but that is because the locals hang out there and lots of people stop in to pick up the excellent coffee. We had breakfast here twice, great buckwheat pancakes with fresh strawberries and organic maple syrup, freshly squeezed... More

After eating the muffins here I cannot order muffins anywhere else because I know they will not be as good. My favorite is the strawberry. I also enjoy their tiny sandwiches. A tiny sandwich, a muffin, and a cup of coffee make a perfect lunch. I wish I was there now. I enjoy their rustic atmosphere and often like to... More

Laid back, eclectic combination coffee house, bakery, cafe and whatever. About the only place to get a decent cup of coffee out in the valley, except for the incredibly overpriced competition. The bakery goods are excellent, fluffy, rich and seemingly baked with a lot of butter. Decor is minimalist but with some good local art available for purchase. Service is... More
