Sitting in the courtyard, one could be anywhere in Europe, where the sun shines down and the grape vines mature above, and the food, is for the most part, superb (sorry, that chicken salad) Pizzas are excellent, also the roasted pear/blue cheese salad, and the Caesar. Two high calorie wonders are the onion rings and the penne in truffle sauce... More

Always wonderful food. We don't like the seating area in the room to the right of the entrance. The sound carries therefore making it noisy. The seating area to the left is more quiet.

After a recommendation from a wine tasting venue (lots of excellent options there!!!), we tried this wonderful little spot. Beautiful outdoor, yet out of the sun, patio. Tables with celebratory couples, families, birthday groups, all enjoying excellent food and very good wine selections.

We (two couples) went to Corkscrew last Tuesday for lunch based on the recommendation by a worker at the Monterey visitor center. The restaurant is part of the Guernier winery. We sat in the outdoor patio in the back and had a very nice lunch. We shared two pizzas and two salads. Food was excellent. Only disappointment was with the charge... More

Short walk from my inn, good wine list & great casual atmosphere. My favorite restaurant in Carmel Valley. Would definitely come back

We've enjoyed lunch at the Corkscrew once or twice a year for about six years. Until our visit last November (2013) our experience had always been quite enjoyable, especially when the weather permitted dining outside. One of our meals was quite good, the other terrible (a new experiment by the chef with some possible kinks to be worked out to... More

The decor and atmosphere at Corkscrew are delightful. The quaint country French charm, and the gardens, make this a place you just want to sit and sip a while. Every now and then, the cozy quarters and the hubbub can raise the noise factor, but it usually passes within a few minutes. Other people are there because they like it... More

Great salads, wood fired pizzas, very quaint setting. The wines by Georis are excellent. We always end up purchasing their wines when we dine here. A great place for a nice lunch.
