I come here often. I like to sit out side on the patio in the summer because it feels like Italy or the South of France, and in the winter it is cozy inside. Dogs are allowed on the patio, and mine is content to lie there while I eat. Most of the clientele are locals, although lots of tourists... More

Came to dinner with a large group of people. We were seated in a room by ourselves and the server was kind enough to put on some music so it didn't seem as if we were in a tomb. Food was enjoyable but the service was erratic in that it felt like he forgot we were there. Lackluster service brought... More

The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere and food. Our server was exceptional. The Meyer Lemon Pizza is a must eat ! Kitchen closes rather early, so make sure to get there before 9 pm.

Wonderful place to eat slowly, savoring every morsel! The artisan bread is superb! Love the cheese board or sausage board appetizer. Pork sliders were great. My friend had the BLT and enjoyed it. I have been there about three or four times and look forward to dining there again.

We live in the area, and the Corkscrew had been recommended to us by friends. We went for dinner and were delighted. To start, the service was beyond excellent. The food was amazing!! They have a nice a selection of seasonal dinners and a nightly special. I had the Thursday night special of fried chicken, my husband had the seafood... More

My husband had the grilled salmon and a local Chardonnay and I the pizza and a local Cabernet Sauvignon.... Great service and good food! Then we walked back to the local inn we were staying at, a perfect night!

Can't imagine how anyone could find fault with this place. Amazing homemade bread, amazing mussels (the sauce! We lapped it up with bread after the mussels were gone) amazing service, amazing atmosphere.

quite disappointing experience at dinner time. The place pretends to be a good restaurant but fails on service, on food, on wine! and on overall price/value. You guys are in the wine area for the Monterey region and have the courage to present "second press" wine? Shame on you, this is heresy. And would be already enough to walk away.... More

The Corkscrew Cafe was recommend by our hosts at Jamesmont Ranch, and we are so happy we followed their advice by enjoying lunch there - twice! The atmosphere is California casual wine country (Carmel Valley wine country that is!). The gorgeous weather allowed us to dine on the patio and it was just charming! The Corkscrew's menu is unique and... More

We've been to this charming looking restaurant several times (more than three) for dinner at the insistence of friends and have always found the food to be fair, with tiny portions, and terrible service that doesn't hesitate to interrupt or even join your conversations. A recent dinner for four people with one average priced bottle of wine cost $320.00. We... More
