I was staying in Pacific Grove and needed an escape from the fog so my friend from Monterey brought me to the Corkscrew Café. The drive was lovely and the sun was shining in Carmel Valley. We sat in a semi-enclosed courtyard with real grape arbors overhead. The courtyard is next to a wine-tasting restaurant/bar. I ordered a BLT with... More

Wonderful surprise! Amazing food, wine and service!. Our waiter literally took the time to walk us through the menu, highlighting key items, unique entrees, etc... Also, he spoiled us rotten on the wine. We ordered a glass each and before we knew it...we had a mini tasting going on. He asked if we were OK with it and...we were. We... More

Pretty Bistro, food was pretty good once we got it. My issue was the VERY poor service. We were initially outside and abandoned. Water was served and then asked to be moved inside after 15 mins in the hope things might improve. No dialogue with waiting staff who appeared to think they were above their customers ! No further drinks... More

We stopped in here for a late lunch after wine tasting in Carmel Village and we were seating out in their back patio right away. We split a salad and a pizza and they were incredibly flavorful. The staff were super friendly and we would love to come back here again next time we're in the area.

Lovely food, very fresh, and the garden setting was very serene and lit with fun lighting. Also great wine recommendations -- it's adjacent to the Georis Vineyard tasting room

We were so excited to eat at this charming restaurant in Carmel Village but were parked outside and forgotten. It took forever to get our food and we had to go hunting around inside to find someone to pay. The wines were average and it was a disappointing dinner.

This is a local and visitor favorite in an artist's community, very quaint, we had outdoor seating. There's great food and atmosphere. I tried an unusual spicy asparagus gazpacho that was a little less creamy than I would have liked, but the chicken salad was terrific as were my wife's fish tacos. The panna cotta dessert was quite good. They... More

We didn't even look inside once we saw the amazing back patio that takes dogs. The setting was perfect with sun umbrellas, lovely tables, great service and food that will not disappoint you! A fun wine list with numerous selections that are reasonably priced .I had the cheeseburger which was amazing from the meat, to the bread to the toppings;... More

Went to The Corkscrew Café for our last meal of our vacation in Carmel and Monterey. Was looking for a great meal to cap off a great week. The Corkscrew Café didn't disappoint. The 'Catch of the Day' was the best plate we'd had all week. Great flavours. Ambience of the restaurant was perfect and the service couldn't have been... More
