Went with a friend to Wickets to have lunch. We sat outside which was lovely looking out over the Boccie field. We basically split everything. The grilled artichoke (great with an amazing dipping sauce) the tuna tartar (I've had better, but still good) and the prawn/mango salad (terrific). We both had a glass of the chardonnay (quite pricey at $17.00... More

High quality, high priced. Glass of wine priced like a bottle at most restaurants. Simplified menu. Prime cuts of beef. Great wait staff and atmosphere, especially lunch outside, weather (usually) permitting.

We love Wickets for the outdoor patio dining and warming fireplace. The food is superior grill food , and the choice is seasonally adjusted to the offerings at the market. We dined with the family, and our great niece loved running around on the bacce lawn after the meal. I had a potent margarita while the rest of the crowd... More

Bernardus is an amazing lodge. We had breakfast at Wickets and...it was less than stellar. Ordered a hash special. Was taken aback that the hash was really a stew. Not just kind of a stew...it was a full stew. Not expecting it nor did it read that way on the menu. We even asked the waiter and it was not... More

The menu may appear to be limited; however the wait staff will do it up any way you want!!! I wanted a chicken breast, salad and veggies and that was what appeared to be on the plate and the nicest presentation as well as the tastiest food!!! They serve breakfast and lunch as well and everyone seems to go there... More

Wickets is a very nice restaurant with an outstanding bar and great service. It looks like that the high quality food is coming from the same kitchen as Bernardus high end restaurant Marinus. We had wonderful oysters. The wine from their own winery is excellent.

we expected a bit better given that it was at the Bernardus Lodge, but the food was pretty average, esp. considering the price

We stayed at the Bernardus Lodge in March and ate in Wickets 5 times, twice for dinner, 3 times for breakfast, and once drinks and starters. While the food is good, we thoroughly enjoyed the staff and other guests. The waitstaff was interesting and engaging. We met two lovely authors from Beverly Hills. The combination of these nice people and... More

A very impressive menu and even more impressive food! The courtyard setting next to the croquet lawn was perfect as was the food. A definite must on the menu includes the mushroom soup and the mushroom pasta.

Wickets is your casual dining option when you've done "Marinus" and want to hit the sack at a reasonable hour after your exhausting Pacific Coast Highway peregrinations. The preferable seating is in the very attractive large dining patio with cozy fireplace seating and view of the resort grounds, but chilly weather can drive you to the bistro indoors, to eat... More
