Nice family establishment

Thai Village makes delicious curries and noodle dishes. I'm not very familiar with Thai cuisine, but the food tastes good, and the kitchen and staff are small and obviously try hard to make their customers happy. We consider Thai village one of our go to places in CV village when we're hungry and don't want to drive or fuss. We're always greeted warmly and the food is always fresh. They make the best angel wings I've ever had, but they sometimes run out. I'm hooked on their won ton soup. I find the subtle hints of... More

The dining room is small and there's not much atmosphere. I like it for take-out mostly.

Last night my wife and I visited Thai Village. I ordered Pad Thai with chicken and it was terrible. I had two bites and could not eat it. Pad Thai is one of my favorite dishes and have had it many times. I sent it back to the kitchen and was told there was nothing wrong with it. I asked... More

I don't know much about Thai food, so I'll just say that I've tried 2 of the curries with sticky rice, and the spicy noodles, and they're all good. Nice family run operation deserving of local support.

I have mixed feelings about our dining experience. The Pros: The food is delicious--clear broth, chicken pad thai, teriyaki chicken, cali rolls and salad. The Cons: There was only one server during our dinner for the entire place and we had to wait close to 10 minutes just to get water! Their menu is not kid friendly The coconut ice... More

If you are in the hankering for Thai Food it is good. The atmosphere is so so. The people are nice. The utensils,, now I know this is a small thing, but they aren't weighted right and are a constant annoyance?

This is not your usual stuffy CValley restaurant. It's a very family run style place. And it was the highlight of our staycation/anniversary/pre-delivery-of-our-baby celebration. We live 30 minutes away and stayed in a near-by B&B. It had been a while since I've had thai food. And though I am 8 months pregnant, I wasn't necessarily craving thai food. I saw... More

I live in Carmel Valley for about eight years now, and always avoided this restaurants for unknown reasons. Maybe because I have not had good experiences before. Yesterday (Tuesday) we realized at 8PM, that we had no food at home and we were hungry. We drove to the village, but non of the places were open, that we liked. The... More

Liked the food ere. Everything is prepared fresh and tastes like it should. The staff is friendly and eager to please. I noticed that the window by our table ad spider webs on it, a sign that the cleaning crew s not too thorough (another sign of authenticity). Good Thai fare at a fair price.

The Monterey Peninsula is a special place with lots of great restaurants. But go inland to picturesque Carmel Valley and ethnic variety beyond Mexican is hard to find. The Thai Village is a recent addition and a curry treat. My wife and I are regular customers. While the decor and furnishings are perhaps a bit basic, the menu is diverse... More
