2nd visit - Still a great meal - once you find the place

Second time eating here. This restaurant is really tucked back away from the main part of Crossroads mall, but worth the hunt. We visited on a week night about 6 PM. Only about 3 other tables. Our server was also the wine steward, host, cashier, etc this trip. The fresh salmon was a large... read more

Great expectations denied. I have heard great things about Bistro 211 in Pawleys Island for the past year. Today, my wife decided to try out this trendy restaurant. We were pleasantly greeted by the dining room hostess. She immediately sat us at at open two seat table near the bar which included a view of the crowded parking lot. Waitress... More

Commonplace restaurants are all too often easy to come by. They seem to be restaurants that don't want to try too hard to keep their diners really that happy - just get them in and get them out. And, unfortunately, Bistro 211 is one of these. We were looking for a small restaurant we hadn't tried in the neighborhood. Bistro... More

The food here was actually not bad at all, though pretty modest portions by local standards. But we arrived just after a big party and the staff made it clear that they were their priority so could we order and eat up and get out of the way as soon as possible. I can't remember ever not leaving a tip... More

Ok, so here is the bottom line. This is a cute little bistro located in The Crossroads open air shopping mall. We jumped in for a mid afternoon Caesar salad. An adequate menu selection and a very friendly attentive server. Very kid friendly. Not sure we would make this our "go to" place to eat but we would certainly stop... More

We stayed at a local motel and did not want to drive. We found Bistro 211 in the Crossroads shopping center. We arrived early and found the place empty. Fortunately for us, we had the place to ourselves. We had a wonderful dinner. Sue, our hostess, was great. She accommodated us. We had the Caesar salad, which we shared and... More

Great atmosphere - French bistro. They smoke their salmon in house. If you love Eggs Benedict go here.

Quaint restaurant in Carmel's Crossroads shopping center with both indoor and outdoor dining. While the menu selection seems very nice, the actual food was less than satisfying. $13-14 dollars for a sandwich! The sandwich comes on a plate with no sides, nor is the plate embellished at all. The service was slow, uncaring and sloppy! Skip this one! There are... More

We stayed at Carmel Mission Inn just across the street from this small cozy Bisro. We had our dogs so seat in the courtyard. They had their own menu served on frisbees. The both got a cookie at the end. Our food was great and the price was good.

On a Friday night we arrived without a reservation. A terrific decision. The carpaccio was an amazing appetizer, we both could have that every day! Beef stroganoff was hearty and delicious. The Mediterranean burger with a side salad was also very good. Reasonably priced wines, very good service, highly recommend.
