I love the chicken-fried steak. The rest of the breakfast menu is done well. Very popular, sometimes you have to wait for a table. Haven't tried lunch; maybe they don't do french fries? Can't remember if it's because I don't like home fries with burgers...sorry.

Right across the street from the quail lodge and the best breakfast I have had in a long time! I ordered the avocado omelette with sourdough toast. Just perfect! The wait staff was extremely friendly!

Excellent breakfast with lots of vegetarian options and healthy substitutes - amazing atmosphere, western - style and the staff was super- friendly and brought children painting sets with the high chairs - you can sit outside in the sun !

Had breakfast at The Wagon Wheel. Scrambled eggs with ham steak and wheat toast for me, and my companion had scrambled eggs, hash browns, and toast. Eggs were a little dry and toast a little burnt, but good none the less. It's a rustic and authentic rancher's restaurant on Carmel Valley Road, with locals as regulars. Two dollars too pricey... Tucked away in the hills if Carmel Valley is Wagon wheel Coffee Shop. Recommended by some if the locals we ventured in for breakfast. First impression was dreary, the decor is a collection of stuff hanging on walls and off rafters, the greeting was non-smiling with a "sit where ever you want". Food...I had corn beef hash with eggs over... More

Kind of a little hole in the wall but food, service and price were all good.Wish we would have went back there instead of Katy's in Carmel. Seems like more of a locals place to go.There is also a farmers market right next to it.

My husband and i were staying at the Quail Lodge across the street and since it was so close we had to try it out. We went a little later for breakfast, around noon but they were still serving and the staff was so nice. I had the french toast and he had the combo meal (eggs, katy cakes, bacon)... More

We went to the Wagon Wheel 3 times during our two week stay in Carmel. Each time the food was delicious and I felt like I was having a proper breakfast. The pancakes are great but HUGE, I couldn't even finish one and I usually have a big appetite! The eggs and bacon were my favourite though, with potatoes and... More
