They place is small and cozy. Love all the options but the pancakes, biscuits and hash are delish. Not for calorie-counters or pretentious folks. Come early or wait. The service is very quick, though. We will be back again and again.

This place opens at 630AM. The earliest around here. Small vintage looking country style restaurant, with hearty food, friendly and very fast service. I love their poached eggs, banana pecan dollar pancakes and the Hungarian Omelet. Their coffee is average, and fruit selection is so-so, but otherwise a very nice and popular place to eat.

Everything is good, but the pancakes are the best I have ever had. I usually get an omelet a al carte with an order of banana pecan pancakes. Simply the best!

I love the chicken-fried steak. The rest of the breakfast menu is done well. Very popular, sometimes you have to wait for a table. Haven't tried lunch; maybe they don't do french fries? Can't remember if it's because I don't like home fries with burgers...sorry.

Right across the street from the quail lodge and the best breakfast I have had in a long time! I ordered the avocado omelette with sourdough toast. Just perfect! The wait staff was extremely friendly!

Excellent breakfast with lots of vegetarian options and healthy substitutes - amazing atmosphere, western - style and the staff was super- friendly and brought children painting sets with the high chairs - you can sit outside in the sun !

Had breakfast at The Wagon Wheel. Scrambled eggs with ham steak and wheat toast for me, and my companion had scrambled eggs, hash browns, and toast. Eggs were a little dry and toast a little burnt, but good none the less. It's a rustic and authentic rancher's restaurant on Carmel Valley Road, with locals as regulars. Two dollars too pricey... Tucked away in the hills if Carmel Valley is Wagon wheel Coffee Shop. Recommended by some if the locals we ventured in for breakfast. First impression was dreary, the decor is a collection of stuff hanging on walls and off rafters, the greeting was non-smiling with a "sit where ever you want". Food...I had corn beef hash with eggs over... More
