Lovely little place

This is an adorable place for a nice quiet lunch in a slightly less frantic street in Carmel. Simple but well executed menu.

This restaurant never, ever disappoints. Fresh, cleverly prepared dishes in a vivacious atmosphere with great wait staff. Always busy so reserve if you can. Bon appetite!

This was a fun and lively restaurant for lunch. We were seated next to the pizza prep area. It was fun watching our pizza be made and cooked. The service was great and the restaurant energized us for the afternoon.

Stopped here as part of a Carmel Food Tours. (highly recommend this too!) The owner/chef visited with us and wowed us all with his energy, integrity, community spirit, and genius with all things food. The pizza we sampled was fantastic! It's a popular spot so make reservations.

We previously visited when they had their old 3 course menu serving county French cuisine. The new format is a hit interns of quality and price. The nice young servers were not "sexed up" (ie dressed in short dresses) to attract male customers and they were all friendly and efficient. The menu is quite small but based on our selections... Small interior, but very well designed and great ambience. Very crowded, but we had reservations -- which they honored without question. The server was attentive and friendly. Three of the 4 of us ordered pizza which they all enjoyed. I had the lamb which was cooked to perfection -- medium to medium rare. Wines by the glass were excellent. Two... More

Quelle surprise! An almost authentic French-style unselfconscious bistro in brash Carmel. The place buzzes and is always busy, but staff are cheerful, helpful and knowledgeable. Food is eclectic though clearly French influenced. Shortish menu but wide range from pizza to lamb to salmon. Wines gorgeous. Espresso strong. And chocolate desert with creme anglais just heavenly.

We made a reservation thank goodness- this is a hot-spot and one could easily see why. Cute, romantic, charming, fun, dress-up, casual, this is a 'feel-good' spot. We were all very pleased with our food- it was the wine list that had us agasped. The bottle prices were by far the most expensive we had ever seen for that type... More

Carmel is full of people and restaurants so its hard to find a quiet spot but if you are wanting a peaceful lunch this is the place to stop. Parisian influenced food and atmosphere... Great wines and coffees and a wood fired oven for "real" pizza ... What more do you want for lunch? Prompt and efficient service made us... More
