It was our favorite meal during the weekend. Great food and wonderful staff.
We arrived here around 12:30 for a party of 5 on Monday. It seemed already crowded but maybe that's because it was Presidents' Day weekend. We waited about 5 minutes and we were seated. We had the croissant campagnard, roasted chicken on brioche, and shepard's pie. Sandwiches came with soup or salad. I had the soup of the day which... More
This is my favorite brunch nook when I visit Carmel. Three of us were traveling together, and only one complained (she was unhappy because we didn't go to a buffet). The unhappy party complained that there were crumbs on her chair and the restaurant had just opened a few minutes earlier. I never saw any crumbs, anywhere. I ordered my... More
We had already eaten lunch and were strolling around the village doing some reconnoitering for tomorrows lunch. We were standing outside this little place reading their posted menu when a local stopped to tell us that this place was definitely worth trying. She went on to ell us that she liked their "picnic" option for carry-out. That reminded me that... More
The food was delicious and hearty. We went for lunch. We had baguettes with beef, onion and cheese which came with soup. We could only eat half of the baguette and were able to take the rest home which became our dinner. I also had a delicious hot almond milk. We loved it so much we went back the next... More
I love the atmosphere...reminds me of a French cafe-the music the French tables and sideboards. Love the chicken salad on a croissant.
We were very surprised with this little french place. We wanted to try something different from our normal italian, etc... Patisserie Boissiere was a nice and cozy restaurant with a fire place burning warmly in the middle of the room. We tried the Crispy duck with Orange and apricot sauce and my husband had the lamb shanks. While the duck... More
This is a nice little place that I enjoy going to for brunch. I prefer this to Katy's Place when I'm in Carmel-by-the-Sea. It's small and quaint but was easily able to accommodate our party of eight. I've only eaten here for brunch and the prices are reasonable-- for Carmel. I like the Quiche Lorraine and the Parisienne, with Mimosas,... More
Though it's off the main drag (Ocean Ave.) we stumbled upon this restaurant on our first evening in Carmel. We found the food to be delicious, the atmosphere charming and the prices reasonable.
The menu is a bit uninspiring. The service was good until the waiter disappeared. It took 15 minutes before we could get his attention. Then once we received the bill, we never saw him again. We had to get up and leave before someone else actually ran the credit card. He was busy putting away glasses and rearranging the wine.... More
